While I'm sure the disastrous failure of TOH has every other producer in Bollywood worried I don't think this is about that. It was clear that Brahmstra was going to get pushed back as soon as RKR movie was announced. KJo himself should have made this announcement sooner. Announcing this date change immediately after the crash of TOH makes people think he's worried about his product.

Also Ayan hasn't been doing research this whole time. Like October posted above this movie should have happened years ago. He kept getting sidelined for other products. He might have changed some aspects of the movie while waiting, but that's different.
