Katrina Kaif to now have a meatier role in Salman Khan starrer Bharat?
Making news for all the right reasons, Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat is one of the most anticipated films featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead. Though much before Katrina's entry, it was Priyanka Chopra who was finalised as the female lead. It was soon after Chopra's sudden exit when Ali roped in Kat for the lead role. Speaking further, while there have been various on-location pictures of the team going viral on the internet, there are not many details about Kat's character in the film out.

Giving us some exclusive scoop of information on Katrina's role, a source close to the project told Filmfare, "Earlier Katrina's part was written and crafted under a certain bracket, as it was written for Priyanka. With film's shooting still going on, Ali has now increased the graph of Kat's character. There's more dialogue, action and drama added to her role which will be very much liked by the audiences. In Bharat, Katrina will have a way bigger role than any of her films.
Earlier, commenting on PC's sudden exit from the project, director Ali Abbas Zafar had exclusively told Filmfare, "It wasn't a difficult time. I think she had a lot of justification for her reason of not being a part of Bharat and we as adults, whether there were producers, whether it was me, whether it was Salman, we all understood her reasoning and we let her go.

An official remake of the Korean film, Ode To My Father, Bharat also stars Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in important roles.
