AUR PYAAR HO HI GAYA

(Loosely inspired by Kuchh Kuchh Hota hai and Main hoon na)

Chapter-1. Childhood friendship

Handas and Khuranas were friends since generations.. The friend ship started with 4 generations backThat means the Great grand Parents of Maan and Geet..

It was sweet coincidence that all the generations had friends of same gender.. Like Maan's Great Grandfather was friend of Geet's Great Grand Father... and then their Grand fathers were friends and grandfather's sisters were friends as both were girls. Girls were elder than boys so no question of one family's daughter's wedding to other family's boy. Their fathers were also friends just like their family treditaion. But... All the equations changed when Geet and Maan were born.. One was boy and one was girl.. Only difference was that Maan had a twin brother Dev.. The tradition of being friends continued and Geet was friend with both.. Dev was quite a cool guy.. Not too much high headed but Maan was little different... He was three minutes elder to Dev and Geet was three month younger to them. Maan though was very nice but had a little attitude.. He needed everything to be good from his childhood...

Geet was too naughty yet too cute.. Everyone wanted to love her when she was a small kid.She was a chubby girl and everyone used to pull her cheeks .She got annoyed when anyone tried to kiss her or to pull her cheeks. Sometimes when her tolerance power gave up she started to hit the person who pulled her cheeks

Between Maan and Dev Geet was closer to Maan.. They both used to fight often with each other..Geet's fighting frequencies were less compared to her fights with Dev.. But very often Maan and Dev were team against Geet

They were in same class and Geet always used to sit with Maan and and thus Maan was little protective towards her inspite of having fights wih her..She never considered herself weaker in any sense and did not need him or Dev to protect her ..But No matter what Maan and Dev were there for her..

She thought herself as strong as Maan and Dev were and no one dared to take panga with her as everyone knew that she had two body guards with her. Though they was kids but Geet was full of attitude and had a tricky mind

In school one such day she was running without looking around and bumped in to one boy and fell on the ground along with the boy. The boy was confused at sudden collapse but then saw her lying on the floor along with her..He knew her.He got up first then helped Geet to stand. Geet took his help and stood on her feets but then she looked at the boy and got angry and said

"Dekh kar nahin chalte kya? Mujhe gira diya..''

The boy was again confused "Main kahaan bhaag raha tha? ..Bhaag to tum rahi thi bina idhar udhar dekh to main kya karun..Main to bas khade ho kar udhar dekh raha tha''

Geet was not ready to take blame on herself

"Haan toh? Udhar kyun dekh rahe the?..idhar dekhna tha jahaan main bhaag rahi thi''

Boy glared at her "Pagal hai kya?''

Geet opened her mouth and looked at him shocked "Haww..Mujhe pagal bola...abhi maza chakhaati hoon.''

and she started to hit him but he was stronger than her so trapped her little hands in his hands and being unable to hit him she started to cry... Seeing her cry the boy left her hands instantly but exactly at that time Maan and Dev saw them..They came near them when they found Geet crying

And Geet started to cry louder "Maan..isne mujhe dhakka diya bahut zor se.''

Maan looked at the boy and poor boy said

"nahin Maan maine kuchh nahin kiya.. wo khud hi bag kea a rahi thi aur mujhse takra gayi.''

"Par maine dekha ki tum uska haath pakad kar jhatak rahe the..Tum usko maarne ki koshish kar rahe the'' Maan looked at him with anger "Tujhe pata hai na ki Geet ko tease karna mujhe achha nahin lagta.. Isko bas main aur Dev hi pareshaan kar sakte hain.''

And saying this he pushed that boy a little

Dev held Geet as she was crying

"Geet ..chup ho ja.'' Dev wiped her tears but she was crying loudely which angered Maan more

"Maan sun to yaar.'' Boy tried to stop him

Maan thought he was lying to he pushed him more and he fell on the ground..He hit him too

And now Geet was so happy to see Maan beating that boy that she forgot to cry and started to jump while clapping

"Come on Maan... aur zor se...zor se maaro na. ' and seeing Geet jumping with joy Mann stopped..Dev too was looking at her shocked

The boy stood too..Maan looked at Geet..

"Maan aur maarna tha na.. itni jaldi kyun chhod diya? Kitna maza aa raha tha..''Geet was disappointed

Maan snapped

"Kyun..kya WWF ki fight chal rahi hai ki tujhe maza aaraha hai?..nautanki.. '

"Dekha Maan.. wo bas aise hi ro rahi thi..main pahle hi bol raha tha ki meri galati nahin hai.'' Boy looked at Maan with complaining expression

"Sorry Anuj..Mujhe nahin pata tha ki ye natak kar rahi hai.'' Maan apolosised to him

"Haww Maan..Sorry kyun bola..main sach me gir gayi thi..''

"Chup...khabardaar jo dobara natak kiya toh..''

"Waise Maan manna padega..Natak bhi ye real jaisa karti hai..isko dekh ke laga hi nahin ki natak kar rahi thi.'' Dev said while looking at Geet

"Sachhi Dev? Achhi acting kin a maine?.. main na badi ho ke heroine banungi.'' Geet beamed

"Chup..heroine ki bachhi .''Maan scolded her "chupchaap class me chal ke baith ab''

and Geet pouted and trio went to the class as the break was over

So they were growing up like this.. Geet was always with them.. So company of two boys had turned Geet in to a Devil tom boy.. She had even joined few karate classes with Maan and Dev..

She never wore any feminine dress,, Her mother always requested her to wear salwaar kameez at least when she was at home or when it was some festival. But she was not ready to listen to her mother.. After all she had given the birth to a girl and wanted to see her daughter behaving like a girl some time but she was scared as if her wish was not going to be fulfilled in this life time... Geet used to run whenever her mother asked her to buy any dress whenever they were at shopping

Geet always said to her...

"Mom.. Please mujhe na baar baar mat bolo wo 7 meters ke kapde lapetne ke liye.zara socho mom.. agar mere dupatte ko kisi ne mere gale me baandh ke daba diye toh kya hoga?? main to mar hi jaaungi na..aur main itni jaldi marna nahin chhati.aur zara socho.. Bike chalaate time agar dupatta wheel ma phnas gaya tho.. Accident ho jayega mom aur main mar jaaungi.''

"Haan hum to jaise roz roz marte rahte hain gala dabne se. aur dupatte ke wheel me phansne se.''and she glared at Geet,..Rano was so frustrated

"Mom.. Mare aapke dushman'' and she kissed her..Please na..Mujhe to apne jeans aur shirt hi pasand hain. jahaan bhi jaao bindaas ghoomo..koi jhanjhat hi nahin kapde sambhaalne ka..

"Haan theek hai par jeans top bhi to ladkiyon jaise nahin pahanti na tu...Wo bhi ladko jaise hi pahanti hai dheeli dhaali si shirt aur jeans aur baalon ko ladkon ki tarah cap ke andar chhupa leti hai''

Geet was now wanted to stop the discussion "Mom chhaddo na ab.''and she hugged her mother tightly and kissed hard on her cheek and that always melted Rano..

Rano used to crib in front of her husband but Mahi always ignored her and took the side of Geet

"Rano.wo bachhi hai... samajh jaayegi dheere dheere''

To which rano always left disappointed because father and daughter were in same team.. Not only Mahinder but Maan and Dev's parents too loved her a lot as they always wanted a girl atleast between those twins..

Geet even hated her long hair and once she expressed her desire to have short hair in front of mother and Rano threatened her in dangerous tone...

"Geet khabardaar jo tune apne sundar baalon ko haath bhi lagwaya kisi ka..main bata rahi hoon..main khana peena sab chhod doongi uss din se..maine beti ko jamam diya hai ..bete ko nahin.. kam se kam lambe baal dekh ke to mujhe khushi hoti hai ki tu meri beti hai..tu wo bhi cheen lena chhati hai mujhse?''

And Geet made faces hearing that...

"mom.. ye to blackmailing hui na.''

"Tu jo chaahe samajh par khabardaar jo baalon ko haath bhi lagaya toh aur ye mat sochna ki main dhamki de rahi hoon.main sach me khana peena chhod doongi''. Rani threatened her in stern voice

And Geet left from there in anger but she never wished to cut her hair again seeing her mother hell angry

Maan , Geet and Dev gelled like true friends when they were growing up but just only like best friend .. Geet was not being treated by them as a girl.. She was like them only -A tom boy..

When they had good equation they were ready to give their lives for each other but when there was any fight between them they fought like it was the last day of their friendship. They were ready to kill each other with their bare hands..

She was Devil and took the advantage of her being the apple of the eyes of two families. How much she behaved like boy but she was a girl only.. so could not challenge Maan and Dev in physycal fight .Whenever she was feeling weak in front of the boys she went to their parents and complained about them and they both were scolded by their father for behaving rude with Geet..Maan and Dev's parents loved her more than their both sons.

And that time they both always stood like a culprit and watched Geet being treated like a princess by their parents.and they both always ended cursing her in their hearts..But the funniest thing was that they could not live without talking to each other so it was one of the two boys who had to initiated the talk among them..

All three grew together and went to college after finishing school.. and soon Dev found a girl friend for him.. Naina.. She was a sweet girl and mixed up well with them.. Now Dev had started to spend his free time with Naina and Maan and Geet were left alone .Their friendship was going at normal pace..

But as they were in college girls started to roam around Maan. Girls could not be spared with his charm as he was the owner of a well toned body and killer looks. Maan started to enjoy their attention. He was not serious with them and in any case. If he wanted to be, Geet was there to warn him to not to involve as those girls was like butterflies which always raomed from one flower to another and Maan always assured her that he was not serious...

Whenever Maan was with any of those girl he had left Geet alone and enjoyed their company as he knew that Geet would not allow the girls to roam around him..At that time she was kabaab me haddi for him..

He just was enjoying their company but the outcome of Maan's entertainment turned in to some different result.. Geet started to feel alone.. Though she was a tom boy but she possessed a heart of girl which started to feel sad .She started to feel sad and jealous with those girls but couldn't express her feelings to anyone as if it was against her image.Only heart was of a girl otherwise she was no less than any boy for all her friends and classmates

But ...

Something happened and everything changed for Geet..

So first chapter is here.. This is a very short story so incidents will move faster.
