So far he is raising his daughter alone.. in memory of his late wife.. if he stays that way,he can regain a little bit of self respect..
If he falls back on option of getting married again/ falling for someone else.. then he himself would be making his divine love into dust..
That's one way to redeem his character.. ask mauli for a much delayed forgiveness and move on with his life as a single parent.. probably remain friends if mauli decides to tell him about mishti..
