What's the REAL fun of a Whodunnit?

Yes, friends, what is the fun in a detective story if you already know who is the murderer well in advance?
The many spoilers bouncing off our screens are such give-aways. For example:

When we saw Zoya lying on her car looking at the stars, drumming her fingers, waiting for Adi we knew much beforehand that something romantic was up. Didn't that take away, a bit, from the actual happy surprise that followed?

When Zoya walked up to Adi with threatening step and blazing eyes, when the girl accused him of molestation, we saw her slap the girl - much in advance of the actual event. But wouldn't it have been such a more nicely tense moment, if we had not known it before? >> Would she slap Adi ???!!

And now a source mentioning Papa Harsh as PooSh's murderer - UHHH??? So many already thought so...

Without doubt, one of the big pleasures of the IF post facility is the chance of darting around a plethora of theories about who could have done what and why.
We'd do the same when reading an Agatha Christie. But, to be sure, you'd have to be such a shrewd jasoos to be able to discern WHO did it in her stories much before the end, despite her 'give-aways', because of her carefully crafted plot.

Conclusion: either I stop looking at spoilers (and miss out seeing other, fun, tiny details about Adiya and JenShad in the bargain) or those giving out spoilers may please show less ... so we may crave for more 😆

PS. Haha, since this is Bepanah, we may still expect the unexpected, despite spoilers. Remember how many times the promos have been misleading us 👏
But then, is a spoiler the same as a promo or does the latter have spoiling qualities? 😛
