She was such a darling sister and I loved her chemistry with Preity.

That scene Mahima and Preity have in their room, after Rekha tells Preity that she's an illegitimate child, I had tears the way she consoled Preity's character.

Damn now I feel bad that Mahima could not make it. She was also brilliant in Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar with Sunil. 😊

Yeh tera ghar ye mera ghar is guilty pleasure for me😊 Then she was also good in daag the fire.

I agree so much with the discussion in this thread. Dil kya kare was a good film all around and yes I loved Mahima's acting and her role much more than Kajol. I guess the movie intended for Kajol to be the main heroine because of obviously being the bigger star but Mahima actually ended up overshadowing her and being liked more. I even loved her chemistry with Ajay. For me Kajol's role was a bit weird and she even seemed out of place.

Regarding Mahima's career I wonder why because she was a decent actress and look wise too she was fine. Maybe it's due to the wrong choices she made selecting the projects. She was also seriously involved with Leander Paes and probably ended up giving her relationship priority over career.
I miss her.

This question has been told many times. Last time it was asked, there was some phaltu logics about how nepotism being the reason for downfall of Mahima's career.

I've said this months ago and will say again even if i have to SCREAM that her career went downhill due to her fallout with Subhash Ghai. Her contract with Ghai's company got withdrawn because of some disagreement.

There's more to it such as poor choice of films. She wasted her talent doing nothing in Dhadkan and Deewane. Her character in both film didn't have much importance.

Then you have her dating men like that tennis player and went off with another guy whom she married. Now she's retired from the film industry.
