You know what is the stupidest thing? If there was a void where the hell is it? These writers either don't know what they are writing or the actors don't know what they are talking about. We have seen many flashbacks of Kunal/Mauli since the affair. They are all loving and positive. It would be so easy to include flashbacks of when things didn't work, to show where the void was that they ignored. Kunal could be having a perfect moment with Nandini and thinking "oh accha, this is how nice I am supposed to feel or this is how great things are supposed to be. I didn't know what I was missing before but after Nandini I do now." It's similar to what Nandini saw after she first met Kunal. Stupid woman thinks that husbands are just generally not very nice and when she sees Kunal and Mauli she realizes husbands could be this loving as well, she just hadn't known.
