People like me have been watching Zee Rishtey awards regularly last few years on Zeetv..irrespective of award nominations & winners which of late has become a big FARCE on TV😒 as an event ZRA concepts, dances, performances, anchoring, direction, skits, fun, music, banters, comedy, script, stars presence etc.used to be entertaining package to sit thru and watch on a Sunday evening with fine editing..But ZRA2018 final event telecast on Oct 28th? 👎🏼
When I read Zee event management team worked hard spent about two evenings marathon 7.30pm to 3am to record actual ground event on Oct 12th & 13th, that too in the name of real life wedding Zee ki beti ki shaadi, was bit skeptical if hosts & editors make viewers snooze or cringe, in addition to having to watch randomly distributed shared awards in most categories..alas it was true.😳
In recent years on TV, can easily term ZRA2018 as most POORLY edited event, what was those full on repetitions of closeup shots of KDB Preeta, Shristi & KKB Shabir's real wife through out the 4 hrs show?😳 and remaining glimpses were mostly of vamps of AAJS, ISA, KKB & KDB and few others who where sitting below stage in first two rows have changed seats every few seconds within same act going on stage? and flow of acts & awards shown lacked continuity as if editors were fast forwarding & cut off at many places..
Sets were pretty well done, and to some extent costumes of people performing on stage were also good, other than that every other department appeared sub standard.🥱
When in between long ad breaks, editors have challenge to fit two evenings recordings along with shaadi functions, they could have split telecast also into two days ideally to make it crisper & entertaining plus maintaining continuity and flow.
