I am not 100% sure...there are no hints as to this in the show.

But according to the rules and customs of those days...their rough ages will be, in my calculation...

Karna 24-25

Urvi 16-18

Arjuna 19-20

Suyodhana 20-21

Yudhishthira 21-22

Bhaanumati 16-18

Jaya & Vijaya - as ageless as their tongues!

The only one for whom the CVs provide the exact age is Bhanumati.

Her father, the king of Kalinga, tells Arjun that he had wanted to gift her that rare gemstone on her 12th birthday, but it had taken him 6 years to find and secure the jewel. So he had been able to present it to her only on her 18th birthday

So she has just completed 18.

As for the rest, Brahmaputra's figures look very convincing

So i am quite fascinated by this show & my memory of Mahabharath is BR Chopras when I was 8!!!
I dont know if we are to infer that Urvi & Karna are around the same age cause in first episode they show Urvi being born and Kunti letting go of Karn simultaneously !!! But read somewhere that at the time of the war Karns was 80 and Arjun 72 and that they are 8 years apart !

@Shyamala ji - there is no need to type that bhayankar username of mine.😆 Call me Jamy. I am more comfortable adressing you the way I just did.
As for Urvi's age, it is better to keep it near Bhanumati's. So lets assume it to be 18 only. Karna can be 24-25 then.

@hevati - I think CVs only meant to show a connection between Karna & Urvi, not that they were born in the same time. As long as we enjoy the show, nothing else is of any concern.

Very well, my dear Jamy. I rather liked Brahmaputra, vazandaar hai, but this is clearly easier for my rheumatic fingers to handle!

You know, this confusion about Karna and Uruvi being of the same age, created by the way their arrivals on our planet were shown, reminds me of the disastrous Porus. There, as you would know if you had happened to watch it, they showed both Alexander the Great and Purushottam being born on the same day, whereas the real Purushottam was at least 20 years older, and then incessantly proclaimed that they were linked by niyati. Now I am told they are also going to die on the same day! 😆

I must tell you again that you are an absolute original. It is not easy to produce such relentlessly inspired nuttiness, and you do it brilliantly, Being 70, I am much more conservative than the lot here, and there were a couple of points which made me a tad uncomfortable, but the whole was marvellous. I do produce the odd joke, which often has to be labelled as such for my readers to recognise it😉, but you are something else again!👏 I look forward to your next on the same lines. This ultra solemn show will provide plenty of openings for you.

Shyamala (I can't add Ji myself now, can I?😉)

I never watched Porus. Say, I have a sense to detect what is not good.😆

Karn Sangini definitely shall provide many chances for all. I used to watch Mittal shows before. So I have complete trust in them. Besides, this is the show being written by Shashi Mittal, after Diya Aur Baati Hum, if I am not wrong. So it won't disappoint us.

Thanking you alone won't suffice for the compliments you wrote for me.😊 Thanks is all I have.

BTW, who says you can't call yourself 'ji'?

I hope RA gives you the least trouble...
