| Wondering who is the new entry in the conjoined twins serial Amber Dhara? Actor Sudesh Berry, who was seen in an array of popular movies like Border, Army, Refugee, Tango Charlie, LOC, is playing the character of Dev Shukla in the serial, who is a prosecutor against his own daughters, who are accused of murdering Kamini (Akshat's mother). His entry in the serial was the last thing his family members could have asked for, as he had abandoned them and their mother when they were babies. Talking about how he took up the role in Amber Dhara, Sudesh says, "It was all intuition. When I read the script and the story line, I realised that the role is very challenging. I am a low profile actor, not at all in the rat race to make it to the top. What matters to me is the role and the story and intuitively, I felt that there was some kind of challenge for me to act in Amber Dhara as the father who has come back as the prosecutor," he added. When asked whether it bothered him as this is a negative character and might harm his small screen image, he says, "I don't consider this as a negative role just because the character has been shown to leave the mother and kids when they were babies. My character has its own reasons for his actions. I think I am playing a grey and not an out-and-out negative role." "Playing this character was a challenging job for me, as for the first time in my life I'm playing the character of a lawyer. But I'm glad it happened because I'm not a lakir ka fakir actor. I enjoy playing different characters as each one of them makes me learn a new thing everytime," said the high-spirited actor. I have given my best and have tried being as loyal to the character as I can," elucidated the actor.
