EPILOGUE

It was a huge hustle bustle in the bhalla house as the wedding preparations were in full swing. He was getting ready in his room while his family was looking after the last minute preparations. He got ready in that golden colour sherwani and getting ready, moved out of the room only to see his mother, father, romi and his wife sarika were busy checking the arrangements, actually, everyone was doing something or the other, except him, all he wanted to do at the moment was go and meet his jaan. He knocked at her door and stepped inside having got the permissions. She smiled seeing him through the mirror and asked the beauticians to go out while he smiled seeing her. She got up from her place and asked flaunting herself

"so how do I look?"

R -you look beautiful as always jaan

"even more than mumma" she asked with a mischievous smile on her face and all raman could do was nod his head in positive as she came forward and hugged him while he pecked her forehead softly. It was her big day, she was getting married today and the whole feeling of having to part from his first baby was sinking for him, he was happy that she had found a partner in life, a good man who would always love and support her through thick and thin and at the same time, he was saddened by the fact that she will have to leave him and go to his place.

He didn't knew when tears formed in his eyes thinking of the same which ruhi noticed and looked up at him breaking their hug a little.

Ru -what happened papa, why are you crying

R(wiping his tears) -my jaan is going away leaving me and you are asking me why am I crying, I will become the second person in your life now

He said complaining cutely making her chuckle. She wiped his tears slowly and made him sit on the stool as she herself moved to her cupboard and took out something she had specially got for him, hoping he would like it. She took the neatly wrapped packet out of her cupboard and handed it to him. He raised his eyebrows at her asking her what is it while she just asked him to open it, he did as she told and his lips curved into a beautiful smile seeing it, it was a beautiful collage of his and ruhi's pics, with a small message for him

ONE DAY I MAY FIND MY PRINCE SOME DAY BUT MY DADDY WILL ALWAYS BE MY KING

His eyes again got moist seeing it while she held his hand and spoke with all honesty.

Ru -thank you for being my papa, papa

R(wiping her tears) -even I can say that to you, thank you for making me papa jaan, thank you for being the best daughter in the world.

He said keeping his hand on her cheek while she looked down saying

Ru -I wish I was your daughter only papa, I just pray to god everyday to make me your daughter in the next birth

She said crying while raman got a little angry hearing this, they had told ruhi the truth when she was 15 as raman really wanted her to know everything and ruhi was a little awkward at first but things turned normal between them in no time as both almost forgot the thing and ruman bonding was normal and pure as always.

R -what makes you think you aren't mine ruhi, you are and will always be my daughter only, you may not be related to me by blood but you are my daughter from heart and soul, and I never want to hear that from your mouth again, ok

He asked her scolding her a little to which she just nodded her head hugging him back.

R -ruhi

He said after a minute of silence making ruhi hum at him

R -remember you had told me that you will marry me only when you grow up so that you don't have to leave me and go to your husband

He said making her chuckle

Ru and remember how mumma had got angry hearing that

"jallu mumma" both father daughter mouthed in unison and smiled

Ru -papa I don't want to go leaving you

She said after a moment making a pouty face to which he smiled and teased her

R -ok, I will go and tell ishaan to take the baraat back as my ruhi is not ready to marry him

He said smiling only to see her whinning.

"pappaa" she said making a face making him chuckle as he again ran his hand over her head not getting tired of showering all his love on his daughter.

I -are you father daughter not done yet?

There came ishita's voice and both chuckled smelling jealousy in her voice as she stepped inside with shagun, shagun had got divorced from ashok after that custody case and after a few years found her love in abhimanyu raghav, who too was a divorcee and settled down with him. She had been in touch with bhallas after that case and often came to meet ruhi. Ruhi smiled and greet shagun who complimented her while ishita came to her and put a black mark behind her ears and a few tears rolled down her eyes as well.

Ru(wiping her tears) -why are you crying mumma, you should be happy, your sautan is going away leaving your husband all for you, now you won't have to do silly things to gain papa's attention, he is all yours now

She said teasingly making ishita pull her ears as adi and ansh, ishra twin sons entered the room as well.

A -why are you teasing mumma again ruhi didi

Ansh piped in standing by ishita while raman was quick to take ruhi in a hug telling all he is on her side as always.

Ad -let her be ansh, after all the witch is actually going away today

Ruhi opened her mouth in a full O hearing him and ran to beat him while raman gave both the boys a glare for teasing ruhi.

Ru -I will miss you all

She said as she hugged all of them

Soon she was called in the mandap, all take her there, she was made to sit next to ishaan who smiled a little looking at her while she too reciprocated the smile. The rituals started as all family gathered around them, Mr.Bhalla toshiji, amma appa, ishra, ansh, adi, romi sarika and their kids rohit and ananya along with mihir mihika and their kids ira and ayaan. Ishra did her kanyadaan and soon they completed all the rituals of marriage, ruhi and ishaan were declared married, raman hugged ishaan again instructing him for the nth time to keep his daughter happy to which he just nodded his head like always.

Ishra blessed them and so did others before her vidaai, she instructed ishita to take care of raman and asked raman not to miss her too much telling all her siblings to take care of everyone else and soon left with ishaan leaving all the eyes moist behind.

Later at night, ishita wrapped up all her works and entered the room only to see raman sitting with a pic of ruhi in his hand. She shook her head and moved to the bed, putting her hand on his shoulder, breaking his trance.

I -I miss her too

She whispered in his ears making him a little surprised, not that he didn't knew she would be missing her but he had thought she would definitely tease him for missing ruhi but she too had got emotional like him today.

She moved a little closer to him keeping her head on his shoulder while he didn't say a single word, just let her be.

I -you know what raman, we are lucky, your daughter hasn't gone much far from us, she has just shifted to another flat in the same society, we can meet her anytime... ishaan is a nice guy, he will definitely keep her happy

R -he better be

Said raman in a straight tone making ishita chuckle recalling the day ruhi had introduced her boyfriend ishaan to them, how raman had almost scared the poor guy with his questions and not to forget how many times he had warned him about the consequences of not keeping his daughter happy, completely getting into his ravan kumar mode. Not to forget ravan kumar's daughter is no less than him, she had actually threatened ishaan about calling off her engagement when he had dared to call her jaan, yes her fiance called her jaan and that had got her so damn angry that she had not only made a mountain out of a mole but also strictly told ishaan to call her anything but jaan as she is her papa's jaan only. Pagal father daughter, both madly possessive for the other, she mused to herself and smiled seeing him who just held her hand with his free hand, his other hand still holding ruhi's pic and soon he fell asleep owing to the tiredness. She smiled looking at his sleeping figure and kissing his forehead thanked him the nth time for being with her always, through thick and thin, for being her humsafar and coming into her and ruhi's life making it more blissful than heavens before she herself fell asleep wrapping her hands around him protectively.

So that's all for the epilogue and this story as well, I have tried to give an unusual epilogue with more of ruman scenes than ishra as this story has always been more about ruman bonding than ishra love story. Hope you guys liked it
