Director Luv Ranjan of Sonu Ke Titu Ki
Sweety fame recently managed to pull off
a casting coup of sorts by getting Ajay
Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor on board for
his next. The actors, who were last seen
together in Raajneeti, will be reuniting
on screen after a hiatus of eight years.
Although the fans have been super-
excited ever since the film was
announced, the curiosity about who will
play the female lead has also increased
with each passing day. And now it looks
like the makers are considering
Ileana D'Cruz to star alongside Ajay and
Ranbir, reports a leading daily.

"The makers have placed Ileana D'Cruz as
their top bet. They need someone who is
good with comedy as well as emotional
scenes and she fits the bill perfectly.
Although it's primarily Ajay and Ranbir's
story, the female lead also has a pivotal
role because her track involves scenes
with both the actors, a source told the
daily.

The source further added that the
actress has not yet signed the film.
Apparently, the makers have reached out
to Ileana and they will meet for a
narration soon. It is interesting to note
that Ileana has already shared screen
space with Ajay in Baadshaho and Raid
and with Ranbir in Barfi. So, if she
eventually gives her nod to the project, it
would be a delight to see her reunite
with her former co-actors.
Meanwhile, names of Alia Bhatt and
Nushrat Bharucha, as well, were doing
the rounds for the female lead but
nothing materialized with either of them.
While Nushrat already clarified through a
statement that she's not in the film, Alia
is busy with Brahmastra and Kalank, post
which she also has Karan Johar's Takht
in the pipeline.
Luv's forthcoming, a dramatic comedy,
will release on December 25, 2020 as a
Christmas treat for the audience.
