When one song played a big role in giving movies momentum - Page 4

The movie had 4 newcomers as protagonists..they faced difficulty in finding distributers so the movie was shelved after completion for 2/3 years..one day megastar mammoottys daughter happened to hear the songs of the movie and she wanted the album to be played in her marriage reception.. The songs became a sensation after that.Shelved movie got a release because of songs popularity and the movie became a block buster in both Malayalam and Tamil(dubbed) simultaneously..It was also remade in Telugu with retaining almost all the cast and became a huge success there as well.The music of the film was trendsetting a cross south india.The music director cum Singer Jassie gift became a super star across south India...this happened 12-13yrs back..The movie got a sequel with in 2yrs and that also became a hit.

This section is about Bollywood I know..But when a discussion is happening about the role of music in movies momentum it's unfair if I don't mention the miracle that happened few years back in South industry.

I think movies like Roja, Bombay etc also deserves a mention..it was the music which made it possible to break the language barrier and became a Pan India hit..And also many of Prabhudeva songs also deserves a mention here.

Neither was she the crowd puller in either. People who like old school madcap comedy watch it. Those who don't stay away. Cannot comment on ny...have not watched it. She was okay in both tge others...in my opinion any other actress would have pulled these roles off much better.

I am no kat fan. I like her action in tzh and i loved her natural freshness in znmd. Thats about all. Rest are either flowerpot roles or else she does not emote at all.

"Tu Cheez Badi Hei Mast" was very popular, but it did not make the movie hit. Critics concluded, if the entire song is played on television every week, people don't find the need to watch the movie. Same thing with "Kala Chashma".

It is okay to release the full audio track, but visuals should only have the glimpses of each songs (to retain the curiosity).
