Housefull 3 in 2016 which also starred
Akshay Kumar. After a gap of 2 years, the
actor will be making a comeback with
Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan. The film
also stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu
in the lead roles. In an interview with PTI,
the actor revealed the reason why he
decided to take a professional break. The
Guru actor said, "It was a personal decision
about how I want to approach my work. It
wasn't the kind of work I was doing or
anything. It was just that I felt I, as an actor,
had become a bit complacent."
As seen in the trailer, Abhi will be seen
donning a turban in the film. Manmarziyaan
is set in the backdrop of Punjab and Junior
Bachchan's character is of a sweet and
simple guy who wants to get married and
settle down. As he is making a comeback
after 2 years, the expectations are high.
Talking about people's expectations from
him, he stated, "That's a good thing, people
should have high expectations of you. Then
you can deliver to high expectations."
However, Abhishek says that he does not
see his comeback to the movies as his
second inning. He said that if the media is
going to call it so, he will accept it.
Abhishek Bachchan recently confirmed that
his next film will be with his wife Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan. Titled as Gulab Jamun, the film
will be produced by Anurag Kashyap.
Manmarziyaan is slated to release on
September 14, 2018.
