Agreed, the hanging is Anjor's imagination.

Anjor's parents are the biggest villains here. The father is cruel and heartless, he doesn't care even for his wife. The mother is too helpless and isn't fighting for Anjor's interests. you'd think she would try to seek Chakor's help instead of letting Anjor suffer so she can be safe.
