"Whats wrong? If you don't tell me then who else can you turn to? he asked, a frown married his forehead as he was worried.
Geet covered her mouth with her palm trying to stop the sob from escaping but failed, she wrapped her arms around Maan's middle and softly cried into his chest. Her emotions got the better of her.
"Whats wrong? Maan asked after a moment as he stroked her back soothing her.
"Woh... she pulled back after a moment and tilted her head to look at him. she reached up wiping her cheeks. "Ammi... aur abbu... se baat ki ti aur...aur unke yaad agayi she mumbled.
Maan smiled in relief as she wasn't hurt by anyone. "If you want Geet you can go see them in a few days or something he suggested.
She shook her head because she knew it too well, their family might be nice and all and may love her but going to her maternal home already is something any in law wouldn't like. She'd come back only a few days, had it been a few weeks she may have considered it but going again in a matter of days? Knowing people liked to gossip she somewhere knew they'd like to use them as the hottest new gossip.
"I'm fine she whispered back her reply.
"You sure? Maan asked again.
She nodded passing him a smile then remembered he hadn't ate anything, seeing him calm right now would be best for her to speak. "Woh.. khana laga doon? she asked softly.
Maan shook his head in response, he reached down wrapping his fingers around her wrist. "Sit here he sat on the edge of the bed and waited for her to join, once she did he turned to her facing her so he had her attention.
"Geet about before... he wondered how to explain and did think whether she would be able to understand. "I'd like some space when I'm angry, I don't want to take it out on you or anyone else for that matter. That's why I asked you to leave he explained gently.
Geet smiled, she didn't need the explanation because she understood that he wanted space before when he'd asked her to leave however she did want him to share his worries, his emotions just as he expects from her.
"I understand she replied softly. "But can you not share with me?
Maan rubbed his forehead turning his head away for a moment, he didn't know how to answer that, he's always kept himself to himself, he was slowly opening up to Geet but sharing his thoughts with her... He turned to see Geet waiting for his response, he could see expectation in her eyes which made him feel guilty.
"I need some time he responded and noted how her face fell for a second before she smiled back brightly at him.
She nodded passing him a polite smile and stood to her feet. "I'll prepare something to eat she told him then moved to walk away.
Maan held onto her wrist stopping her, Geet turned her head and looked at him. "I promise to tell you everything Geet but right now I just need a little time he told her.
She smiled nodding, she walked out as he loosened his fingers around her wrist, Maan watched her retreat and did wonder whether he can open himself completely to Geet.
Geet turned her head as she heard footsteps behind her and saw Sameera walking in.
"Hey bhabhi she muttered and settled herself on the stool.
"Why do you look so upset? Geet asked as she continued to whip something up for them to eat.
Sameera shrugged. "Everything was going so well but that badi ma.. she shook her head huffing loudly.
"Why is badi ma different towards everyone? Geet asked as she was curious, over the past few days all she learned about badi ma was the woman treats everyone differently.
"She wasn't like that, well she was a little bit but she's gotten worse because bhai... Sameera paused snapping her eyes closed. What the hell was she saying? She mentally cursed her mouth.
"Because what Sameera? Geet asked curiously.
"Um... nothing
"Then tell me
"I just remembered I have to do something Sameera stood to her feet.
"Sameera Geet called but she didn't listen and walked away hurriedly.
Geet had quickly made some pasta and plated up, she walked out with the plates to see Maan coming down, she could tell he'd just showered with the way his hair was wet, she placed his plate before him as he sat down then joined him.
She poked at her pasta for a few minutes as she wondered to herself whether she should ask about what sameera mentioned.
"Is something wrong? Maan asked he noted Geet was playing with her food more rather than eating.
"Sameera mentioned something but she didn't finish off Geet replied tentatively.
"What did she say?
"Something about badi ma wasn't like this, and she's changed even more after something, she didn't tell me
Maan's jaw clenched tightly as he cursed Sameera's loud mouth, and his change wasn't gone unnoticed, Geet sensed it must be something that bothered Maan immensely.
"Forget I said anything she responded and forked her pasta and ate in silence without meeting his eyes once.
Maan reached over and held onto her left hand and pressed gently. "I was the reason she changed towards everyone he replied.
Geet frowned in confusion at his response.
Before he could tell her the entire truth he was disturbed by a call, he glanced at Geet for one last time before answering.
Geet stared after him as he stood to his feet and walked away with his phone, she was left with a mixture of feelings and most of all she was confused. What must he have done that badi ma changed like this? Disliking everyone.
Geet's breath hitched as she felt his breath caressing her nape, she tilted her head to the side as he bent closer and pressed a kiss to her nape. His arm snaked around her from behind resting on her stomach.
"Yeh... Aap... she paused.
"Shh... he whispered against her skin. A shiver ran down her spine, her chest heaved with his proximity, despite the fact she'd given herself to him, he had the ability to make her blush so much, his closeness affected her ever so much.
Maan nipped her lobe tracing her waist with his fingers drawing patterns on her abdomen, Geet swallowed hard as he trailed down her nape with soft pecks, he turned her around gently pushing her back gently, her back pressed to the cupboard and her front pressed to his large form as he closed all distance between their bodies. She didn't forget what he'd said downstairs however she didn't want to spoil his mood as he seemed lighter than before.
She smiled as he kissed her softly, Maan took his time to savour her, he pushed back the issue at the back of his mind, right now he just wanted to spend some time with her. They'd been pushed into emotional encounters which they faced and both reacted differently. He pressed his hand at the small of her back and moved slowly towards their bed.
Geet closed her eyes as he pressed another kiss to her ear, he nuzzled along her skin down to her nape. She bit her lower lip as he unpinned her pallu gently keeping his eyes on her face, she smiled shyly as Maan pressed a kiss to her nose once he loosened the material.
Maan lowered her onto their bed taking his time to undress her, her body heated instantly, her cheeks coloured, her eyes closed in shyness. Her hands tentatively moved over his body helping him out his own clothes, he pressed a kiss to her cheek as she pushed his shirt off, Maan lay her down and covered her body with his once they both bare of any barriers between them.
His lips covered hers, his fingers traced her shoulders gliding down her arms reaching her wrist he closed his fingers around and picked it up to his lips, Geet sighed in pleasure as he pressed a kiss to her wrist, her chest heaved as he trailed her arm with soft kisses till he reached her shoulder.
Her heart swelled with emotion as he found her soft curves, his hands cupped and fondled teasing her immensely, her body was on fire beneath him as he continued to arouse her with his hands and mouth. She arched sliding her hands into his hair and gripped as he closed his mouth over her sensitive curve, she turned her head moaning softly as he teased with his devilish swipes of his tongue, soft gasps escaped her lips filling the room along with his pleasure filled groans. She was made for him, her body fitted to his like a puzzle piece,
Maan pressed a kiss to the corner of her eye as he settled himself, he was gentle with her, his moves slow and immensely pleasuring. He kept his eyes on her face as she came apart gripping the pillows tightly, mists of sweat covered her face, her lip had a droplet of two, her face almost burning with heat. He licked at her lower lip before nibbling on it for sometime, Geet moaned into his mouth as she cried out her release once again, he collapsed atop her pressing his face into the hollow of her neck.
Geet tilted her head up as she lay beside him once again after they cleaned up, she slipped on his shirt and joined him in bed, the bare legs entwined, the only two barriers between them was his shirt which she wore and his boxers. He smiled down at her flushed face and pressed another kiss to her forehead.
"I want to be wife in every sense she mumbled softly.
Maan knew exactly what she meant and nodded. "I promise to try
"I don't want anything else, I want your trust, I want your belief in me she whispered. "If you can't trust me with your feelings how will this work out? she asked.
Maan knew Geet had a point, if there is no trust in their relationship, sooner or later the relationship will fail no matter how much love is there. He didn't want that for them, he couldn't bear the thought of not having Geet in his life. It was something he didn't want to even think about.
He was about to speak but Geet pressed her finger onto his lip however she seemed nervous. And nervous she was, she wondered whether he would say something for her stopping him from speaking. Maan waited patiently for her to speak up.
"Not tonight she whispered. "I'll wait till you're ready She continued, she couldn't push him into revealing whatever he is feeling because then he'd doubt himself whether he did the right thing or not. She knew how it feels to feel pushed into something and she didn't Maan having to do that. So she'll wait for him to express his feelings to her in his own time.
Maan pressed a kiss to her finger and embraced her in the warmth, Geet snuggled and closed her eyes feeling tired, she felt him press a kiss to her head before sleep invaded her.
I will try my best to update this quicker. An update will come once a week for this one from hereon, I've got Saturday marked for it. As promised, I will be reposting the old works slowly and will try to be more regular.
