Weren't exactly my passion in school
No prizes for guessing that they're not so even now!! 😆
So Arshad has arrived
Less than a week into his arrival
The guy is a complete misfit
And may I add a pile-on too!
Can't blame him...
To quote Aditya
He seems to already be lattoo over our princess, Zoya!!
Comes as a surprise to me really
Since the guy seems to be quite sharp
How come then it hasn't still struck him
About WHAT even a BLIND man can SEE!!
I've actually had mixed feelings about this week's proceedings
Also explains the delay in my post
But then JenShad and their amazing COMMAND over their CRAFT
Just got the better of me!
Pray also...just how can Zoya not realise
When Aditya with those deep and lovelorn eyes
Looks her straight in the eye
That Piercing, Unwavering, Unflinching Gaze
When he proclaimed to the world at large
"Is baar main lamba wala pyaar karoonga"
Why was that discomfiture only a transient flinch of the eyes?
You are a very profound person, Zoya
You are also intelligent in your own unassuming manner
Your Understanding of Aditya is nothing short of a Marvel
Then how did you miss the point, young lady
That the speech was actually Aditya's Labor of Love
It was his ballad to you, Zoya
His parents' 35th marriage anniversary was nothing but the mere conduit!!
Poor writing, in my opinion, CVs
Not sure if this is just a ploy for an extension track
Plenty of pointers to indicate likewise
What is the 2 weeks' time frame all about
Especially if Zoya is clear in her head about Arshad
That was such a beautiful line, CVs
When Zoya with her trademark poise, but in the most self-assured manner
Announced to her Abbu, about the Arshad alliance
"Toh nikal jaane dijiye na"
My hopes once again soared when in the car parking lot
Zoya in the most calm and composed manner tells Aditya
"Mujhe sab kuch pata hai"
But Alas, my hopes came crashing down...
What a lost opportunity, makers...
To have created history for a new-age female lead!!
That Zoya, with all her intelligence and maturity
Has an inkling or maybe even knows it all
About what Aditya feels for her
But it's just that she's not ready yet
It's just that they are at the Crossroads
What Aditya articulates as Love
Is deep-rooted Friendship for her
The kind that she's never been blessed with...in her entire life...
But has come to be the fulcrum of her existence now
Such is the Gift of their Bond
One that gives Him Strength
And Her, a sense of Emancipation
Should it really matter then
That one is the traveler
While the other is still the dreamer
One has it all sorted
The other has to figure things out
That one has a plane to catch
While the other
Is already home?
The optimistic me however, will just not give up!!
Every time I see the scorching talent of JenShad burn up the screens
CVs, can we please be blessed with such epic story-telling
Considering that Zoya's realization track is still to be realized??
You guys have it in you
The TRPs are also stable *Touchwood*
You have given us gems more often than not
Can we be at the receiving end of the same
On a more consistent basis please??

If there's one thing that stood out about JenShad for me this week
It is how much they ADD to each and every scene
It's like they are the EPITOME for "give and take"
A small gesture here
A voice modulation there
It's almost like one is still thinking
While the other has completed the thought!!
BRAVO, guys...TRULY!!

Just so MANY instances of the seamless understanding of their craft
This week as well
The opening scene of the week...at the Siddiquis' residence
The office scene...as Aditya, in his inimitable style gives Zoya life lessons 😆
"Tum bahut baat kar rahi ho...kuch kha nahin rahi ho...Tum moonh kholo bas...tumhare andar noodles!!"🤣
Such absolute JOY they are to watch, really!
Cut to the party speech
An entirely different dynamic
A heart-felt and somber affair
The hesitancy in the speech...I mean only Harshad can enact Aditya's foolhardiness with the elan of a veteran...and only Jennifer can display Zoya's reassurance without coming across as patronizing!
Such is their TALENT
This is to what extent

Have INTERNALISED Aditya and Zoya, respectively! ⭐️

My FAVOURITE scene of the week
Came at the fag end of a long and arduous week
The last ten odd minutes were pure BLISS
And the beauty...
Took me completely by SURPRISE!!
No brownie points, for guessing
Is the noodles scene and its aftermath
Or was it, really?
Was it not instead
A BEAUTIFUL glimpse of AdiYa's equation
The DEPTH of their bond
Their UNDERSTANDING of each other
The mutual RESPECT
The palpable CONCERN!!!
When Aditya proclaimed to Zoya
"This is our thing"
Did not even for a second seem like verbiage
Aditya opened his heart out to Zoya
She had sensed the hurt camouflaged in his anger...
Zoya was neither dismissive nor judgmental
Hearing Aditya's voice
Was more important to her than hearing her own
Aditya's appreciation of Zoya's therapeutic touch...
Sealing it with the gift was only incidental!!
👏 👏 👏
What a WONDROUSLY presented scene
What an AMAZINGLY enacted scene
Is a part of my AdiYa/JenShad "treasure chest" for sure
And the final touch with a blast from the past
Zoya's "So cute" thereafter...
Was actually speaking all our minds!! 😃
It was a similar gift
A different premise though
That these two then strangers had squabbled over
This time, however, when Aditya stated
"Ek main"..."Ek tum"..."Dono mile is tarah"
One couldn't help but let out a smile
Aditya and Zoya have indeed come a long way
It is indeed
