I think (actually I hope) that the Mumbai track serves two purposes::

1) Rithwik makes Palak lose caution. That she loves him is evident, but I think it needs to be brought to surface and Rithwik will force that out

2) Ananya and Rohit needs to witness the depth of their emotion for each other ... so that they stop being angry

P.S.: I don't know why Arohi should be important here - its very much a closed chapter and quite irrelevant to bring the story forward. I think it was used only to create a certain bad boy image for Rithwick in the beginning of the serial

I totally agree arohi is a closed chapter also the actress is in Jakarta with her hubby cheering him for Asian games..
what I like in this story they are not leaving any loose ends like mAmta realised that she had caught on Ritwik with palak early and she could trace the whole story back from romance to breakup to patch up ..
She realised why Ricky called palak called gold digger which others are pointing again and again rishabh and sanchi Reeva .. she knew it was Ricky trying to fight love


Ritwik needs to see the effect his hurt has on palak .. he will become chaura after that

I think Palak purposely avaoiding the subject. Poor Rithwik do want to talk, but she just doesn't want to as she probably too scared. When her dad was giving all those reasons how Ritwik-Palak weren't compatible & how She got so annoyed.
