CHAPTER 2
Everyone was seated in Swayam's living room and Taani was in her room getting fresh-n-up. Everyone was here because Taani wanted to talk something important to them. It was death drop silence in the living room and finally avoiding the uneasiness Swayam got up from his seat.
Swayam : "Guys coffee anyone" he asked glancing everyone except Sharon. Trying to avoid her presence his level best but failed miserably in doing so. But soon not getting any reply from anyone he started moving towards kitchen only to be stopped by her sweet voice.
Sharon : "Umm...Swayam come I'll help you with coffee" she said hesitantly unsure of his reaction.
Swayam : "Enough Sharon" he roared making everyone glare at him and Sharon was taken aback with his voice and tears started brimming up in her eyes. "Just because tum mere ghar me ho doesn't mean you are still part of my life...so baar baar mujhse close aane ki kosish mat Karo...do you get that" he continued with pitch and if say everyone was shocked will be an understatement.
Sharon : "Swayam I..." She was trying to speak between her sobs.
Swayam : "Listen Sharon...get one thing clear in your head tum yahan sirf Taani ki wajah se ho...and I don't want ki uske samne koi bhi scene create ho so please just stay away from me..." He said gritting his teeth's. Sharon tears flooded on her cheeks and she https at floor not able to meet anyone's eyes out there. Saying so Swayam marched in the kitchen to calm himself and to get the coffee's. Rey got up from his seat and placed his arms on Sharon's shoulder after a lot of inner fights but as soon jerked by Sharon who signaled to stay away from her.
While all this was going on Taani came out of her washroom after taking a lot of deep breaths and came near the door to step out of the room but stopped in her action listening to the loud voices and then she heard the whole conversation and also noticed one more thing which went unnoticed by everyone else which was... Sharon. She was not the same Sharon she knew, the angry, fierce, independent girl. The Sharon in front of her eyes was weak, sensitive and broken who didn't even budge to protest her bhai when he was ranting nonsense. The real Sharon was lost somewhere which was needed to be pulled out of her. Taani turned back inside and called some people and after 15 minutes both TaaYam came out from their room and kitchen.
While sipping the coffee as everyone was silent Taani tried to start a conversation.
Taani : "So guys how are you all and how's dance going on..." She said eyeing everyone. But everyone freezes by her question and started looking at each other.
Vicky : "Taani... We all are good and..." He said after a long deafening pause "We don't dance nowadays actually its been years we left dancing" by listening his reply Taani choked her coffee in her throat which she was sipping and started coughing badly. To which Sharon poured her water and gave her while caressing her hairs which was already done by Swayam. So in process both of them hand's met and they share a short eyelock. But coming back Swayam asks
Swayam : "Taani tum thik ho..." He asked with concern filled voice.
Taani : "Yeah bhai...mai thik hu...but aap sab to thik ho na..." She said making an unbelievable face "aap sab dance kaise chor sakte ho...I mean..." She wasn't able to speak anything out of confusion
Kriya : "Taani life me aage badhne ke liye kabhi kabhi bohot kuch piche chorna parta hai..." She said to clear her confusion.
Taani : "I know but... Rey aap... Aap dance se door" she was just not able to grasp the information. Rey was not able to face her gaze which had so many questions. Taani didn't get any reply from anyone and the uneasiness was clearly visible on their face so she tried calming down herself.
Simmi : "Wo Sab chodo na...ye batao tum yahan itne saalo baad... humari yaad kaise aayi tumko..." She said to ease the situation.
Taani : "Waise jhoot nahi bolungi ki mai sirf isliye aayi kyuki aap Sab ki yaad aa rahi thi par mere aane ke pic he 2 reasons hai... First ye ki next month meri office ki nayi branch khul rahi hai Mumbai me so I had to come here..." She said smilingly.
Swayam : "Office...kaunsi office...tum job karti ho... I mean wow...I..." He said not able to believe that his baby sister is so big to work for her own living.
Taani : "Relax bhai...and yeah office...acha aap sab ne T.S ka naam suna hair" she said casually to which everybody laughed out "guys isme hasne ki kya baat hai..." She said not able to understand.
Swayam : "Taani... T.S ko kaun nahin janta... I mean jo bhi aaj ke generation me kaam karta hai use use T.S industry ke bare me pata hona hi chaiye..." He said to her clearing her doubt.
Kriya : "Great to know ki tum T.S me kaam karti ho... It's great opportunity to work there..." She said dreaming as T.S industry was really wide industry which had outlets all over the world and also the one of the most richest businessman's.
Taani : "Waise guys do you know what T.S stands for..." She said grinning to which everyone nodded negatively "fine then Google it...till then I'll get some munching" saying so she got up and headed towards kitchen. Vicky took out his phone and started searching, and after getting the details his eyes popped out ready to fall out of their sockets any minute. Everyone was giving him weird expression to him and till then Taani came out of the kitchen and Vicky gazed at her.
Kriya : "Kya hua Vicky...what is T.S..." She asked getting frustrated by his numbness.
Vicky : "TAANI SHEKHAWAT" he said no he shouted no no he roared out of excitement and surprise. To which everyone murmured "WHAT" and Simmi snatched his phone from him
Simmi : "He is right guys T.S stands for 'Taani Shekhawat' " she said with finality in her voice.
Amar : "Matlab Taani tum T.S ki ownel (owner) ho..."
Bharat : "Abey Taani tu hi T.S hai..."
Taani : "Okay okay guys please calm down and yes mai hi T.S hu and T.S industries ki owner and MD bhi so please relax is me it a excite hone ki kya baat hai..." She said generally to which everyone started shouting together and speaking in unison which was not understood by her not even a bit "guys" no one heard her and continued bantering "guys please" they still could not hear her "STOP IT" she shouted on top of her voice to which everyone put fingers on their lips as if they were in school and teacher has given them punishment. Finally Taani sighed a breath of releaf and continued "guys please mi ek normal human hu aise mat karo please" she said relaxing herself to which everyone muttered "SORRY" and Taani let out a sweet smile. And Vicky raised his hand keeping the other hand on his lips yet "Vicky aap hand kyu raise kar rahe ho mai aapki principal thori na hu..."
Vicky : "Wo Taani...actually I can't believe ki world ki one of the most richest and successful businesswoman humare sath baithi hai..." He said meekly. To which Taani again smiled.
Taani : "Wo isliye kyuki aisa sach nahi hai..." Everyone eyed at her with curiosity "kyuki aap sab kisi businesswoman ke sath nahi apne freind ke sath baithe ho..." Everyone smiled listening her reply.
Nil : "Waise Taani what's your second reason" he said getting out of his reverie.
Taani : "Wo actually.." She closed her eyes gathering some strength "Wo 2 din baad bhai ki sagai hai..." She said in one breath still eyes closed and finally opened her one eye at a time and a confused Swayam, broken Sharon and gang with unnamed expression.
Swayam : "WHAT" He shouted taking in the information. "Meri sagai ho rahi hai matlab"
Vicky : "Matlab engagement ho rahi hai wo jo rings pehnate hai na ek durse ko so" he replied earning a glare from Swayam and chose to remain silent.
Swayam : "Taani...mujhe bataye bina meri engagement kaise ho sakti hai..."
Taani : "Ohh.." She said generally and paced near Swayam and stood in front and of him and held his hands "Bhai aapki engagement ho rahi hai 2 din baad" she said as cutely as possible.
Swayam : "Taani tumhe ye sab mazak lag raha hai...ohh I get it now...tum masti kar rahi ho mere sath... Right" he said laughing weakly.
Taani : "Nahi bhai...mai mazak nahi kar rahi hu... Aapki engagement ho rahi hai 2 din baad am serious" she said keeping a straight face.
Swayam : "What...but kiske sath...I don't know anything about it"
Taani : "Bhai Tauji ne decide kiya hai...as he wants you to get settled now..."
Swayam : "No way am not doing any type of engagement or anything..."
Taani : "Kyu bhai...kya reason hai aapke paas sagai nahi karne ka.."she asked facing him
Swayam : "Because I don't want to"
Taani : "That's not enough bhai... Tauji ne aapki marzi se aapko life lead karne ka right diya tha , life partner choose ka right diya tha...par aapne kya kiya bina kisi ko bataye engagement kar li Sharon ke sath and phir bina kisi se puche tod bhi di..."
Swayam : "But Taani..."
Taani : "But what bhai...tauji ke decision se mai agree krti hu.."
Swayam : "How can you... Mai us ladki ka naam bhi nahi janta...and you all want me to get married to some stranger..." He said making an unbelievable face.
Taani : "Bhai arrange marriages do exist...and aapke pas koi reason nahi hai naa bolne ke liye..."
Swayam : "But Taani I don't want to isn't it enough"
Taani : "No it's not..." She took a deafening pause and continued "Agar aap kisi aur se shaadi karna chahte ho to aap us rishte me liye mana kar sakte ho..." She said looking directly in his eyes and Swayam slowly looked towards Sharon who was already staring at him with teary eyes. But he remembered all the MU's and looked away from her.
Swayam : "No... Mai kisi se shaadi nahi karna chahta...which means no one..." He shouted on top of his voice.
Taani : "You don't have a choice bhai" she said with attitude, eyeing him staright to which he did not reply anything but went straight in his room and banged the door behind him after a prolonged silence "guys mai chahti hu aap sab bhi Bhai ke sagai me present raho as his friends. I wanted ki bhai ki sagai ki event me D3 team officially perform kare but alas...nevertheless aap sab aaoge na" to which everyone nodded "Thik hai to kal 10 baje tak ghar aa jaiyega hum kal hi niklenge..." Everyone was hell confused to reply anything so silently nodded and left... Sharon was about to leave but Taani stopped her "Sharon aap please aaj raat mere sath ruk jao...mujhe aapse kuch bohot zaruri baat karni hai" Sharon wiped her tears and went in with Taani in her room.
