The way u analysed the scenes are perfect. This is the reason Arshad is brought and made a positive character deliberately by the cvs. He will show his possessiveness initially and try to take Adi's place in Zoya's life and that's when Zoya will realize that Adi is more than her best friend. Right now, she is so focused on her career and trying to move on and forget her past that she is not able to understand her feelings for Adi. Trust me, the gal who calls her true love as friendship is going to love Adi madly after marriage.
