LAST SHOT
It was evening, everyone was coming one by one while Naina was standing near the entrance waiting anxiously for ishra to come in the function.
Naina -kahan reh gaye yeh dono, jaldi se aate toh main inn dono ka tamasha bana paati. She was thinking when she saw Ishra coming together hand in hand smiling.
Naina -aa gaye Laila -majnu, aaj unki shamat hogi. But inke parents kahan hai ??she was thinking when she saw them too.
Naina -ab maza aayega aaj, jab inki insult hogi, but why they have come like this. Raman ne sherwani pehni hai aur ishita, she is wearing a Saree. Yeh dono aakhir itna ready ho kar aaye hi kyun hai ,she was thinking when Ishra crossed her hand in hand happily looking at Naina.
Ishra reached inside and all look at them. All were confused seeing ishra and start asking them the reason for dressed up so beautifully.
Boy 1-bata yaar, aaj ishita itna kyun saji hai, shaadi hai kya kisi ki??
Boy2-really yaar, ishita ko saree mein pehli baar dekha hai, woh bhi kanjivaram saree mein. Bawaal lag rahi hai. Kuch special hai kya.
Like this all were questioning Ishra when Raman said -batata hoon, batata hoon. Tum sab ko batata hoon. Just wait for a while. He said looking at ishita while ishita just smiled.
Raman held Ishita's hand and took her to the stage. Their parents too went along with them.
Raman held the mic and said -attention everyone, I have an announcement to make. Can I have ur attention. He said and all turned to him.
Naina -main announcement karne wali thi, yeh toh khud koi announcement karne lagaa. Rokun kya usse, nahi let him complete. Then I will do the explosion. She thought and smirked.
Raman -ok, thanks for ur attention. Toh baat yeh hai, ki mujhe kisi se pyaar ho gaya hai. He said making everyone hoot for him.
Raman smiled and said -ok OK let me complete. Toh main kahan tha,yes toh mujhe kisi se pyaar ho gaya hai. And when I realised it, I told the same to her and eventually she too realised her love for me. Toh can u all guess, who is my special girl. He asked and all said, ishita.
Ishra smiled fully and ishita said -yes, it was me. Actually it is us. She said smiling making Naina shocked.
Naina -yeh log yeh kya kar rahe hai, they r telling everyone about their affair. Toh main kya bataungi. She thought all worried.
Ishita -toh jab hume yeh ehsaas hua that we love each other. We thought to confess that before our parent, before they thought us wrong. We were going back to our home but suddenly, they themselves come to visit us, as someone called them for our farewell party.she said and both glared at Naina.
Raman -toh humne socha ki agar hamare parents aa hi gaye hai toh whu not talk to them about ourselves. Toh bahut himmat karke humne unhe sach bata diya.
One of the boys asked -phir kya hua,
Ishra -phir, they said and remembered the incident of the morning.
Flashback
Ishra look at their parents with pleading eyes to accept their relationship while they look at each other and laughed hysterically.
Ishra got confused and look at each other for an answer but sadly both don't know why they r laughing.
Ishita -kya hua, amma. Did we said any joke.
Toshiji -joke nahi hai puttar. Hum toh yeh soch kar has rahe hai ki itni si baat samjhne mein tum logon ne kiya time lagaa diya. Seriously char saal, after living four years together. After eight years of friendship, tum logon ko ab samajh aaya ki tum dono pyaar karte ho Ek dusre se.hum toh bahut pehle hi samajh gaye the.
Amma -aur aapas mein tum logon ki shaadi bhi fix kar di thi. She said smiling making Ishra shocked.
Raman -kya, shaadi.
Ishita -hum dono ki.
Appa -ofcourse, we r ur parents and we know u people very well.
Mr bhalla -and we were waiting for u two to realise ur feelings for each other.
Toshiji -par jab tum logon ne realise nahi kiya toh humne khud hi tum dono ki shaadi fix kar di thi. Coz we have seen ur love for each other. Toh agar tum log hume nahi bhi bolte phir bhi hum tum logon ki engineering complete hone ke baad shaadi kara dete.
Amma -kyunki hum jaante hai ki jitne comfortable tum log ek dusre ke saath ho, utna kisi aur ke saath nahi ho sakte. Aur shaadi mein yahin comfort, issi care ki zarurat hoti hai. Nothing else. She said smiling making Ishra smile too.
Ishra hugged their parents and thanked them. While their parents too hugged them and congratulate them.
Toshiji -agar bachche maan gaye hai, toh kyun naa inki engagement kara kar wapas jaaye. She said and all agreed.
Flashback end
Raman -so this way everyone agreed for our engagement. We were thinking to do our engagement tomorrow and invite u all. Toh maine socha agar sabko bulana hi hai toh Kahin aur kyun. Yahin kyun naa engagement kar li jaaye. Toh I called our respected dean sir and took his permission for the same. So we r here for our engagement infront of our second family along with our first family. R u all ready to bless us for our new life. He asked to which all nodded while Naina was still in shock as her plan was getting flop.
Everyone was busy in hooting for ishra while their parents took out the rings.
Ishra look at each other and was about to slip the rings but stopped and they said together -but before this we like to thank someone for helping us so much. And she is none another then Naina, who make us understand that we r made for each other. So give a big round of applause for her. Naina, they said and all clapped for Naina looking at her while she gave a fake smile.
Raman -naina, can u please come on stage and give us rings to get engaged. Kyunki tumhare support ke bina yeh possible nahi tha. He said smirking and everyone gave her way.
Seeing no other option, she went to the stage. Toshiji gave her rings and she had to represent it to Ishra. Ishra took the rings and exchanged it.
Then they hugged each other while all clapped for them. Naina fumed in anger and was going when Raman hold her hand and took her in a corner.
Naina -raman, leave my hand.
Raman smirked and said -maza aaya, tumhara khel tum par ulta pad gaya. Hamare photos leak karne wali thi naa. Ab Karo, tum par hamari privacy invade karne ka charge lagwa kar ander karwa dunga. As we r couple now. He said making Naina shocked.
Raman -what, got shocked. Ki raman ko iss plan ka pata kaise chala. Come on Naina, itne din se mujhe jaanti ho phir bhi mujhe underestimate kiya. Tumhara kuch plan chal raha hai yeh baat main tab hi samajh gaya tha when Papa told me that u called them here. Kyunki tumhe hamare parents se kya lena dena. Then I remembered that gaurav send ishita to storeroom. Phir kya tha, gaurav ko kuch punches and he spilled out everything. Tabhi Maine plan kiya farewell function mein engagement ka. So that I can flop ur plan. Ab puri duniya ko pata hai that we r much in love couple. Sorry, much in love engaged couple. Ab kya kar logi bolo, can u do any thing. No u can't.
Naina -main sabko nahi but tumhare parent ko toh yeh pics dikha sakti hoon. So that they can know that how u two cheated them.
Raman smirked and said -koi faayda nahi. Our parents know about that also. They know how close we r, tum kuch bhi kar lo. Kuch bhi haasil nahi hoga. So it's better if u stay away from us. Kyunki Ek aur galat kadam and u will be finished. Tumne hamari privacy ko invade kiya hai, aur uske proof hai mere paas. Gaurav ka bayaan,toh if u don't want to go behind the bars. Handover those pics to me and go silently from here. He said forwarding his hand and seeing no other option,she gave the pics and was going when Raman took her phone and formatted it.
Raman-now u can go. He said and Naina went out of the function in anger while Raman tear the pics and throw it in the bonfire.
He then went inside and look for ishita. She was sitting waiting for him. He walked to her and said -everything is under control. He said and she sighed in relief.
Raman -aunty, can I take her away for a minute. He asked and amma nodded happily.
Ishra were going out when Toshiji came to them and said -we forgive u this time, but this shouldn't happen again before ur marriage.
Ishra nodded and went out of the function remembering how ishita was feeling extreme guilty and end up telling everything to amma. She slapped ishita and took her to toshiji. Amma told her everything and Raman too got a slap.
Ishra narrated them the incident because of which they came close and apologised for their mistake. At first they were angry but slowly when Ishra magnified them, they understood ishra and forgave them. They instructed them not to repeat the mistake again and not to tell their fathers about it. Ishra nodded and finally their mothers hugged them.
Ishra were on terrace holding each other's hand, looking at the rings.
Raman -finally we r engaged, kabhi socha tha, yeh sab Itni asaan hoga.
Ishita nodded in no and said-maine toh kabhi yeh bhi nahi socha tha, ki hamari engagement hogi. Come on yaar, we were friends.
Raman -hum aaj bhi friends hai, aur hamesha rahenge.
Ishita -yes, we r friends, lovers, soulmates and soon going to be husband -wife. But hum pehle friends rahenge hamesha, uske baad kuch bhi aur. OK.
Raman -ofcourse, toh mere yaar, meri dildaar ban jaiye and give me a passionate kiss.
Ishita -arey amma aur aunty ji ne mana kiya hai.
Raman -they stopped us from doing hanky-pancky. Not from kissing, toh bakwaas band aur kaam shuru. He said smiling and pulled her to him.
Ishita -jaisi aapki marzi, mere yaar, mere dildaar. She said and took his lips for a soul searing kiss and soon both were lost in kissing each other passionately forgetting the world.
