After Sonam and Dulqueer, Angad joins in the Zoya Factor movie adaptation.

He'll reportedly be seen as the former captain of the Indian Team.

I've yet to read the book, so for those who read it. Does he fit in for this role ?

It's the movie adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel. Which is about a an ad agency representative who ends up becoming tje Indian cricket team lucky charm. Their will be a romance between the girl and the team captain.

From my understanding, Anuja Chauhan writes women-centric novels such as Battle For Bitora (in which Sonam will also star under Rhea's production) and Those Pricey Thakur Girls.

The movie adaptatio will be direct by Abhishek Sharma and will star Sonam and Dulqueer in the leads roles.

He plays Robin probably. The old timer who Nikhil Khoda dislikes, and Zoya hates. Will be interesting!

I must reread this book. I don't remember an ex captain. I remember the other guy who was the youngest on the team.

Frankly, I only remember the naughty texting bit and the scene where he has his hands in her top and he is ranting that she is such a kid and she says- If you move your handa on either sides, you'd realise I am quite a big girl 🤣

Zahid I think 😆 There was a whole trio who was obsessed with Zoya's luck. Then there was also that creep who tried to kiss Zoya after he caught Nikhil and Zoya.

Haha yes I remember that...I remember her crazy love for firecrackers also and the mess she seems to end up in because of that 😆

BTW, I wonder if they will set this film in today's time or will set it the 10 years ago that it is set in...the book makes a pretty big point about Zoya being considered lucky for cricket because she was born right when India won the WC in '83, which would make her 35+. Given how ageist BW/audience is, I doubt they would show a rom-com with 35+ characters in love.

Nikhil was also a new, young captain leading a young team and it would be unbelievable that BCCI gave captaincy to a 35yr old.
