can light up a room. Late Sridevi and Boney
Kapoor's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor has
become a hit among the audience. Though
her debut film Dhadak is being compared
with its Marathi version Sairat, it doesn't
take away anything from her performance
in the film. The simplicity with which she
has acted in the most emotional scenes of
the film is being appreciated and that has
truly made this debutant jump with joy. In
an interview with a leading daily this
newcomer shared her views after the film's
release. She said, "To see my father,
Shashank and Karan feeling so proud and
happy means the world to me. She further
added, "The love has been overwhelming.
More than anything else, it feels good to
know that we've moved people with this
message that we were trying to convey.
Janhvi also went on to talk about how her
father and sister reacted after watching the
film. She recalled, "Khushi was crying. She
looked at me and said, Why are you
worrying? and then started crying again.
Papa actually saw the film a month ago, and
as soon as the screening was over, he went
to the temple. That night he came to my
room and held me tightly and started
crying.
It has been an emotional ride for the
Kapoor family who lost yesteryear's
superstar Sridevi while the shooting of
Dhadak was on. Janhvi returned on set
soon after her demise and continued to
work till the film's release.
