Emotional manipulation and abuse is as potent as physical abuse. Shyam has worn down her sense of self belief to nothing. It's saddening yet moving to see how she responds to simple acts of kindness. The depth of her anguish visible in the wonderment she feels when she allows herself to believe what she sees in another's eyes, albeit for a few moments.

As Shakespeare had said, "Apparel oft proclaims the man". Not too many people want to look beyond the image we project to the world. Or, as in this case, made to project.

Wonderful update. Is Maa Khushi's mother or Shyam's? Is she aware of Khushi's discomfort in wearing those revealing dresses, uncomfortable footwear and drinking?

I am not upset with Shyam's comment when he said they are not surrounded by predators. They are simply his clients. May be he is true, may be he is not.

But, I am against killing girl children in the womb and for that Shyam needs to be punished. It is wrong, immoral and illegal on many counts.

Arnav is making Khushi feel better. Good. But, why is he doing that to a total stranger. Does he know her from before? That looks a bit mysterious to me.

a heart touching chapter... Khushi has been through so much...wish there was someone for her to comfort her to make her feel stronger... firstly making her dress skimpily against her wish is such a big sin, then killing their babies is biggest sin of all, that makes Shyam a murderer... thank god at least Arnav is there... as per the prologue they will be together later, so i am happy...

btw, who is MA ?? Didnt she call her mother-in-law as Maaji ? So is this her own mother, have she already separated from Shyam ?? I dont think as of now Khushi has the strength to divorce Shyam or separate from him... but hope she files a case against him in future...

Great work... Arnav's POV showed how much she's uncomfortable with her life style which obviously her husband pushing her into she thought that's z only way to be perfect... How sad.. what she's trying to prove wz accepting his offer.. coming to stranger's house.. she seems to trust Arnav and that is a start... Arnav really nice and sweet his love will cure her... I like how he thinks he is trying to solve her mystery so he can live in peace... Dreaming man..
