Like chameleon changing its color, that fast Shyam changed his expressions and his whole demeanor became soft and friendly as he said in his buttery voice. "Arre, nahi Sir, Khushi ji and I grew up together. We are old friends trying to catch up old times. Tell him Khushiji.. Saying this his challenging look met Khushi's icy stare. Since Khushi didn't want to create a scene in front of her driver, she politely asked him. "Raghav ji, could you please give me a moment? And as soon the driver was out of hearing range, she hissed. "The money that my family owe you will be delivered to your family in Nainital. Now get lost Shyam before I call Raghav ji and let him show you the way. Her haughty dismissal escalated his temper, he was already writhing in jealousy seeing her grandeur, so he retaliated in biting tone. "Listen you bitch...You better bring the money in person at my place by tomorrow, otherwise I am going to Nainital. Khushi gritted her teeth and got inside the car quickly, but his next words made her wish, she was outside to slap him for saying those cheap words to her. Feeling confident, that she would come and visit him, Shyam couldn't help but demand lecherously before the car moved. And Khushi, wear something sexy when you come.

In the back seat of the car, Khushi closed her eyes and took few deep breaths to calm her frayed nerves. Just being in the stench filled vicinity of Shyam had made her stomach roil in protest. It was a gentle enquiry from the driver's seat that made her to jerk back to reality when he asked her. "Madam are we going to Mr.Raizada's office?

Khushi almost said yes, when she changed her mind. Mind that was working frantically, as it thought of sparing Arnav from knowing about her unpleasant encounter with Shyam today. Shyam was her mess from the past and she needed to handle this mess herself. Status of her happy marriage was still very young and was held by very delicate threads that she was trying to strengthen. There was no way she was going to allow Shyam to tumble in those fragile threads and break. Money had always been a sensitive topic between them, if she now told Arnav that she had taken money from Shyam before marriage, who knows what conclusion he would draw from that news.

No there was no way, she would involve Arnav in this mess. What she needed to do immediately was protect her family in Nainital. She should call them and let them know about her pregnant state. She should tell them the entire truth about her pregnancy. Well at least she should confide in her Mamiji. She chewed on the thought for a moment and then decided, instead of calling them, she would go there as soon as possible. Earlier she was planning to ask Arnav to come with her to Nainital, but with Shyam back in her life, she wanted to go there alone. But how is she going to come up with such huge sum in such short time.

Tears of helplessness formed in her eyes as she thought of reaching out to Arnav.

Just when she fumbled inside her purse to take out her phone, her eyes fell on the shiny object and she almost choked with emotions. Here was something, she had promised herself she would never use.

So, clearing her throat, she gave new destination to the driver.
