yes I know BW is, was and will always copy. But I don't have this nostalgia bug unlike you. 90s and early 00s music was good, but not all music was great music. Same with today's era, Lootera's album or Barfi's album or ADHM's album would have been hit and loved in every era. Problem is you hear one Neha Kakkar's auto-tuned song and assume all recent songs are crap. You see Swag se Swaggat and other upbeat songs getting 400views, and assume people nowadays only like techno songs. It is like 40s era kid saying that 60s era songs were loud music, 50s saying the same about 70s and so on. And that happens because people cannot appreciate new things and everything new seems terrible.
my matter is different my ears do not want to listen to any one else except alka yagnik , sonu , udit narayan , kumar sanu , anuradha paudwal , kavita krishnamurthy, sadhna sargam 😛 ,, its not about songs its about voice and expression earlier singers had clear , melodious , expreesive voices unlike today ,...
if same composition was made today with the singers of today time the song could have been forgettble but listen to the rendition its timeless the expression to every word of the line
