Hands entwined, Chudhas falling and Bangles held on to...

Note : I had some thoughts and have put them into words as best as I can...

During the 'Kuch hi dinno ki baat hai... ' scene, as well as the divine blessing hinted towards MeerVaan's relationship, their entwined hands reminded me of Celtic and Greek wedding ceremonies...
This scene gave me all the obvious thoughts, MeerVaan are fated to be together, by joining hands in friendship they have created a bond for life and this time they accepted each other willing - if only in friendship.
In addition to this we saw Vivaan slightly vulnerable, but at the same time hopeful because he and Meera could be friends again and this time officially. She was special to him, her honesty and strong will had touched his heart...

In the recent scene, where Vivaan asked Meera how she wanted their lives to be post the Pammi Kapoor chapter, she removed her mungulsutra but not her chudhas. When she tripped, Vivaan grabbed her hands by the chudhas. He did not realise she was pulling away and the bangles slipped from his hands to the floor...
I appreciate this scene a lot more now. It made me think, in that moment Vivaan was literally and metaphorically trying to hold on. He did not know what he should do, perhaps he felt he had no say over the matter, because he had given the right to choose to Meera?

In the upcoming scenes (on location videos) we see Meera moving to go and Vivaan holding her hands again by her kangan. As she moves away he has held on so tight that he is left holding part of the golden set...
This made think there is definite change in Vivaan. Subconsciously he has decided not to let go of her and related scenes will show him that Meera is not as indifferent to him as he had thought?

I might be stretching here but even amid saving Meera from the mahela morcha, he held out his hand as if subconsciously giving her the choice to take it?
Surprisingly, these scenes seem to be more about Vivaan's state of mind than Meera's...

Great post May! More so because you have connected different scenes together even when the screenplay lacks consistency at present, and drawing parallels becomes all the more tough.

I had appreciated that scene where he held out his hand for her to accept or not. Once she chose to take his help, he did not stop to ask her approval for anything...

But in the most recent one he was the first one to call off the relationship. In light of that... did he really leave her with any "choice"? TBH Vivaan confused me in this scene.

I am intrigued after having seen the OLV as well. I agree, perhaps he sees that she is after all not as indifferent as he had thought. I hope he reflects back to the MS-Chura one and we get some insight into his perspective as well.

You are correct Sree he is confusing. 😆
Blaming his anger seems like an excuse but that is only reason I can think of...
He did leave her at the Dhingra side and tried to take her MS but he left it when Meera held on to it. He claimed it had no value for him and left it with her.
On that point another connection, in the previous scene he reached for her hand while he was sleeping...

@May... he wasn't as confusing until a certain someone decided to bless him. 😡

I will get back to you on that scene if I can think of something better. Or maybe we should just wait for "monologue with balloon".

Lovely analysis and the way you have covered the intensity in those scenes in words is fab :))
It's worth viewing those symbols into further more then just whats portrayed for sure and it makes hell lot of sense.

😊
Sometimes it is not certain if the writers intended the scenes to be interpreted in this way but we can not help but think ...

Very nice post indeed!!
For me tht frndship acceptance/ and their hands getting entwined with babaji's jaap maala was a beautiful scene!!
I agree he will not let her go!!

And i believe, it will be her distance that will make him realize her worth!!
In prev many dialogues it always indicated he wanted to leave, to go...

but when Meera herslef, packed her bag n was leaving, he tried to reason her out..."are u sure..."
all he wanted was to hold the last straw of hope to held her back!!

The phone call from Dolly again created the want, and even though he said himself, all this is bcoz of her family...he couldnt leave his rights over her anymore...
