Jarasandh after repeatedly getting defeated by lord krishna was again & again attacking mathura , so lord krishna so save mathura's people from war fear decided rellocate all d people 2 dwarka puri during night time, in front of jarasandh left d battlefield along with his brother balram thats why he is called ranchhod , thou lord krishna can defeat jarasandh very easily.

2) during kalyvan demon time he left battlefield thou it was trick 2 kill kalyvan according 2 his boon

Both times lord krishna accepted ranchhod title , just 2 save people from demons like jarasandh & kalyvan.

Sony tv puru firstly caught some wild elephants , attacked alexander's army thinking alexander will not able 2 deal with elephants .
