EXCLUSIVE: Sanjay Dutt reacts on Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanju'

Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen playing the role of Sanjay Dutt in the actor's biopic, Sanju'. The trailer was released recently and has won accolades by everyone. In many scenes from the trailer, Ranbir Kapoor exactly looks like Sanjay Dutt. While people are praising Ranbir Kapoor's look and performance as Sanju' in the trailer, we were keen to know what Sanjay Dutt has to say about the same. During our recent interaction with the actor, we asked him whether he liked Ranbir Kapoor's look as Sanju'. And if he gave any advice to Ranbir Kapoor for his biopic!

Talking exclusively about it on ETimes, Sanjay Dutt said, "There is no advice for Ranbir Kapoor. He is doing a fantastic job. Whatever I have seen on the sets of the movie, it is really great. I just wish him all the best and I am looking forward to watch the movie.

After this reaction, it looks like Ranbir Kapoor has already impressed Sanjay Dutt with his performance in Sanju'. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is slated to release on 29th June, 2018.

Hirani's next movie is the third installment of Muna Bhai, which will more than likely put Sanjay Dutt back on the box office map. So a little hard to know whether Sanjay is being sincere or just providing lip service to Hirani and Vinod Chopra.

Weren't there reports of him being really mad that Ranbir was playing him? Wasn't he quoted more than once questioning Ranbir's "macho level" in playing him?

The biopic is on him and it's about to release. Of course he's going to praise it. He was critical of Ranbir when the film was at casting stage.

He won't get nothing by criticizing the movie now. It's only going to boost his image and standing.

not only him...a lot of us were critical of how Ranbir is going to transform into the tough macho SD...but the transformation is magical and maybe SD is also amazed like a lot of us are...opinions are not facts...they can change according to the situations.

Ranbir is playing Sanjay better than Sanjay could play himself, as self portrayals are difficult and Sanjay is not one of the finest in terms of acting.
