Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker have
worked together in films like Raanjhana,
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Veere Di
Wedding. The actors are close friends and
their camaraderie was evident during the
film's promotions.
Sonam Kapoor has always said that she
intends to direct one day. However, due to
exciting acting offers she has not been able
to start directing. However, in an interview
to Mid-Day, Sonam Kapoor admitted that she
is working on her first project as director.
Sonam said that she is developing an idea
that she has been toying with since quite
some time.
Sonam is so impressed with co-star and
friend Swara Bhasker that she intends to
cast her in her first directorial venture.
Sonam said, "I have a couple of stories
written for Swara. As colleagues, we interact
a lot, and so, it's easy for me to envision her
in different roles. I am sure whenever the
project rolls, it will turn out to be an
amazing association. There are so many
actors who leave me awestruck with their
talents.
Swara too shared her excitement about
being a part of Sonam's film. She said,
"Sonam will make for a great director
because she has some amazing ideas,
besides having a great vision. I am looking
forward to the day when she starts the
project. She is one of my favorite people in
the world. We have a great working
relationship.
