Ishita's POV

The next morning, he smiled back at me when I beamed a smile at him. My amma always told me that my smile is magical and that day, I actually felt that, sadu actually smiled at me seeing me smiling, my amma is a complete genius and why she won't be, after all, she is ishita's amma. I was talking to my friends and passed by his bench hoping he would talk to me but he didn't. Days began passing, we used to exchange smiles daily but we never talked and even when our destination was the same, we used to go to school separately and even come back separately. Time began passing and soon our first term exams started. Raman had buried himself even more in studies and I could see how hard he was working as I would often see him going to terrace for studies to avoid the chaos of his house.

It was the day of our last exam, maths exam, something he always found a difficult subject and I knew he would be nervous today, well he thinks I have been giving him a tough competition ever since I joined the school, I just don't know why he takes marks and percentages so seriously, maybe because of toshi aunty's pressure, I really feel bad for him, he is doing so much just to fulfil his mother's wishes.
