1 Olympia: There is no doubt about this one. There are hundreds of incidents which proves that she was loved by him beyond his life...

2. Bucephalus: Becephalus more than Roxana and Haphestian? Well we all can argue , but whatever I have read I think he loved his horse more...

3 Roxanne and cleoptra: okay he became blind in Roxane love...Alexander equally loved his sister...He used to send plates full of pearls to her...

4 Haphestian: Their friendship is legendary...

5: Sasigambis: Well this woman even made Olympia jealous. Alexander called her mother all the time and she loved him more than her Son Darius...

6: Barsine: second wife of Alexander ...

7: Ada of Cairo: Yet another mother of Alexander...

8: Philip: Alexander did love his father...He looked up to him...Their relationship is quite confusing one though...

9: Cleitus: warrior general of Alexander...

Anyone who wants to make changes in the list is welcome :)))

In my view, Alexander had genuine love for these people:

1. Olympia and Cleopatra: Alexander loved his mother and his only sister above anything else. They were family. Period.
2. Hephaestian: He was the best friend of Alexander. He had been brought up with Alexander and new all his secrets. Friendship is compared to that between Achilles and Patroclus. Alexander considered his more than a friend- a brother. When Alexander married Stateira 2(Barsine), he had Haphestian marry her sister Drypetis. This shows the high esteem in which Alexander held him, bringing him into the royal family itself.
And it was Haphestian's sudden death, that may have accelerated Alexander's illness and death as well. It had profound effect upon Alexander. Alexander's grief was uncontrollable. He ordered many signs of mourning, notably that the manes and tails of all horses should be shorn, the demolition of the battlements of the neighbouring cities and the banning of flutes and every other kind of music. He
He lay stretched upon his corpse all day and the whole night without eating. He the shrine of Asclepios . On the day of the funeral, he gave orders that the sacred flame in the temples should be extinguished. Normally, this was only done on the death of the Great King himself.

3. Bucephalus: This horse was Alexander's faithful companion in his world conquering quest and died saving Alexander's life in the battle of Hydaspades.

4. Roxanne: Alexander madly fell in love with her and went against his own people's wishes by marrying her, after the the seize of the Sogdian Rock.

5. Barsine(Memnon's widow): Former wife of Darius' Greek General Memnon. Alexander's lover and mistress after she was captured in the battle of Issus. She bore Alexander a son named Herakles.

6. Campaspe: Citizen of Larisa in Thessaly. She may have been a mistress of Alexander between 340-336 BC. She was the first girl with whom Alexander is said to be intimate and lost his virginity.

Other people for whom Alexander had great respect both for genuine reasons as well as political reasons:

1. Aristotle: Alexander greatly respected his teacher and mentor-the best teacher in the world.

2. Sisygambis: She considered Alexander as his son and Alexander called her mother. She refused to attend her own son Darius' funeral. But she starved herself to death in grief after Alexander's death.

3. Ada of Caria: She also considered Alexander as her son.

4. Barsine: Stateira II. Darius' daughter. Alexander married her in Susa weddings in 324 BC to strengthen his hold on the Persian nobles. He cared for her after the battle of Issus in 333 BC as he allowed the Persian Royal family to live peacefully in their palaces.

5. Cleitus: He saved the life Alexander in the battle of Granicus. Alexander respected him for that. Because of this, although Alexander was systemically killing off King Philip II generation to keep his generation in power, he did not want to harm Cleitus. But he killed him in a drunken brawl, when he insulted him by saying that his father was better than him and also insulted his bloodline and mother.

They are afraid that if they show more of the Alexander track, people will love him even more than they already do and it will be much harder to convince them to support Puru against Alexander. It's too late, anyway. Whether we see Alexander for 3 minutes or 30, we love his scenes and Rohit is outdoing himself in every episode.

Loads of people online and on youtube say they watch the show only for him. If you see the promos they air on TV, it shows a much more clear cut path of Alexander = bad/evil and Puru = good. They won't want to invest too much in emotional tracks about him, but the irony is that during all the turmoil that Alexander has had to go through from Macedonia until now, we've felt for him and shared his joys and sorrows as his character has grown.

I don't think another actor could have made the same impact as Rohit has in his brilliant portrayal of Alexander. Truly, in terms of screen time it has been quality over quantity where he is concerned. If they give him more time Alexander will far exceed Puru's popularity and viewers will begin sympathizing with him (there are many who already do). This is probably going to go against the narrative of Puru the defender and will make it hard for the CVs to keep showing Alexander as a cruel and merciless conqueror.

I still suspect they may show Puru winning the war, and if Alexander becomes too popular to the viewers now it will be a hard sell.

I would add Philip on this list (the real one, not Sony version).

The real Philip did love his son and was proud of his achievements, but Alexander always wanted to grow out of his father's shadows and achieve glory for himself. It is said that he had a love/hate relationship with his father. 😉 The foundation of his strong army was built by his father, which is why he was already very well-equipped when he began his conquests at a young age.

In the Sony version, Alexander initially shows a lot of love and respect for his "father" Philip and always looks for his approval. He is devastated when his father is severely wounded in battle and nearly disowns his mother for wishing Philip ill. He believes his father loves him equality and trusts his abilities as a future king.

All this is until he discovers his father's "true nature" and begins to believe he is actually Zeus' son and not Philips. If you go back to his address to the Macedonians after being crowned, he tells the people that a father and son are not just related by blood but also by dreams, that he was going to fulfill the dreams that his father had wanted for Macedonia but had not been able to. This applies to the Sony Alexander-Philip and not the real life father-son one.

Who knows what really happened, but there are several accounts that say he had nothing to do with Philip's assassination and was devastated when he died. He also punished those involved, unlike the Sony TV one who actually was involved in the assassination plot. This was also deliberately done by the CVs to make him seem ruthless. If he had been shown as innocent and unaware of the plot, we would have had too much sympathy for the "poor fatherless boy" which the CVs don't want.

Puru will not win...They won't show Alex losing...Either draw or Alex win..Later is more probable
