Some travelers to foreign countries have also discovered much to their dismay that even the most innocent of hand gestures in their home culture may be considered offensive in another. It must soon become apparent to any fairly objective observer that the traditional values and customs of one culture may be considered very strange by another.

Ya French ppl do eat snails, they're called escargot, and i think they like it 😆

Hmmm, one of mine would be from Egypt... We were on the nile, on a cruise going from an area of high water level to low or the other way round, so we had to wait a while to get through the locks... And suddenly, our ship was surrounded by the sellers who were selling clothes (Egyptian robes called galabias)... they would throw up what we wanted to see in a plastic bag, and if we liked it, we had to throw back the bag with the money. If we didn't, we could throw it back... And this was from the deck of the ship, down to the water... It was amazing fun!!! I bought a galabia just for the fun of it... And hehe, don't ask how i ended up wearing that wierd outfit 😆 😆 But that's one WIERDDDDD thing i'll never forget 😆 😆
