Guess Who?
For actors, whose very profession demands that they spend most of their time in a make-believe world, it is very easy to have a distorted perception of reality, especially when it comes to their own standing and worth.
Take, for example, this actor who may have had a few successes but is nowhere close to attaining bankable star status. Worse, his latest release was a complete washout at the box office. The casting for the female lead of his next film is underway and one of the factors that the producers have to be mindful of is that the heroine's dates should match what the hero has allotted them. They finally zeroed in on a female lead who is available in that window and has been fairly successful.
However, when the producers mentioned this to the actor, he shot it down. The reason? The heroine's last film flopped. The obvious rejoinder to that would be and what about your own last film, bro?! But, in our actor-driven industry, no producer will dare ask that, right?!
