Frustrated fans of yhm who are trending end yhm because of repetition on the series got a reply from ekta kapoor on twitter telling them to stop watching if they don't like the way the story is going..she said that whilst she loves the tv audience they will not get what they want and the creative team will always go according to trps and the tv norm...so we knew all along the criteria for repetition and illogics...and we certainly know that what the viewing audience show their frustration about their particular show...things will never change to suit the viewers likeness but the tv 'norm'..whatever that falls under..bottom line...dollar sign all the way...so viewing audience your frustration will never be taken into consideration it seems..

Yes ann..I read and shared it on twitter yday.
We need to read this as Ekta's strong msg to all fan groups not just YHM "STOP watching my TV shows if you don't like rather than using hash tags or complaining ever."

What TV norms does Ekta's brain drained Balaji Telefilms cvs/writers work on? recycling half baked khichdis, abusive, regressive, puke worthy behaviors and over dosage of crimes, glorified criminals, insulting justice and systems, plots filled with absurdity, butchering main leads beyond recognition? losing immense love, respect, popularity and long time viewership gained for years? 😕

Ekta's statement pretty well reminds, last year couple of noted TV producers boasted strong comments asking fans to STOP watching their shows rather than taking feedback constructively to bring in positive amendments..fans did stop watching making channels pull down abruptly few newly launched shows within couple of months or shift them to low end hardly watched early evening time slots.

In the name of initial viewership established in the first year due to concept and interesting initial tracks for her shows like YHM & KKB, and due to amazing onscreen chemistry of main leads, popularity and noteworthy performances of actors/actresses playing leads BT soaps have been surviving till date even after losing more than half viewership over the years due to crappy writing, execution, recycling's, over filled crimes and criminals, never ending forced separations..

She needs to remember NOT a single Balaji TV soap launched from 2015 till date other than Naagin 1, has been termed successful in multiple factors or had sustained for long on TV. I have said this few times earlier also with proven data.😵 (KDB mainly worked in 2017 due to Kumkumbhagya brand, non competitive 9.30pm slot, Abhi & Pragya's promotions, Arora family extensive usage, downplaying Abhigya in KKB by showing Pragya dead and replacing her with Munni, along with giving it ready made Zee viewers)

I have shared this article earlier on twitter.

Try reading it without fail.. a hitting article on how Indian women & families are getting terribly portrayed in the facades of being 'strong' & 'traditional' in Balaji TV soaps that too repeatedly for years together be it old or new soaps, KKB, YHM, Naagin, Kasam etc. that were created and conceptualized by Ekta with her mighty team.😒

Thanks LA for sharing that article. Somebody took a very balanced approach👍🏼.

Goodness, what arrogance ! I can't believe this response publicly to the very audience who are consumers of her content. I can't fathom either Bill Gates or late Steve Jobs would have responded in such a crude way to their consumers. We have seen Mark Zuckerberg issuing an elaborate apology in the recent past and outlining steps for course correction. What is wrong in admitting a mistake and steps towards betterment. I guess, they don't even consider this wrong nor does she feel a social or moral obligation towards the society.

Yes, take the easy way and blame the audience for watching her content. For people who are mature enough and have had the worldly experience, this is more of a source of annoyance, irritation and repulsion, but what about those naive, young minds? These shows are throwing the ugliness at them and shaping their outlooks in an unimaginably distorted way. What about those minds who don't know to stop watching and look away? Don't you want to show them the real life, practical solutions to problems that are raised? Why give such a regressive twist ?

I don't know what and how she lives with herself, but I can say this, a touch of humility is not a bad quality to have even if it is THE Ekta Kapoor👎🏼

LA, I don't have twitter or any other accounts. Please use it as you see fit, if it is worth anything. But feel like when people have such bloated egos, nothing works, something hard hitting will have to bring them down to Mother Earth🤔

Even today Ekta claims 65-70% revenues of Balaji group comes from TV shows as paid by Indian channels/advertisers regularly.. only couple of films made under Balaji Motion pictures banner randomly got her some money in last 5-6 years, and Altbalaji is an investment for atleast 3 more yrs before that vertical gets to show some minimum revenues. 😊 Yes Ekta & Sameer Nair were successful in 2017 in getting Mukesh Ambani's Reliance as 25% stakeholder in their group company to invest some crores on new content for next 3 yrs. No doubt she got into collaboration partnerships with some notable and talented directors & writers for creating different genres of author backed webseries for Altbalaji.

But being in a secured financial position now, after having made a brand name in TV industry and established connect with audiences for several years, if she still doesn't invest in grooming or hiring new talented writers/creatives/directors for Balaji telefilms that still gives her major annual revenues and if she doesn't put proper supervision and monitoring on content of regular episodes of her TV shows it would be an unpardonable offence, as TV is still going to have wider outreach in Indian markets with more youngsters tuning to watch every year..

In a recent interview speaking from a stage, Ekta provided rational description what to expect from her TV soaps like Kasam;

'There is something very DARK dramatic about it. It's like universe coming together to separate or bring lovers together' ofcourse her never ending reincarnations in Kasam with lovers reborn and over dose of kundali dosh; and in kumkumbhagya forever doomed couple, mockery of marriages in all her shows, do reiterate about her take.

Ekta was being honest!! She's right. SM campaigns will not affect the show in any way. Only a very small percentage of viewership is influenced by SM.

Watching the episodes, reacting to them, writing about them, and posting on SM is only going to help the ratings!!😆 All that publicity is only going to help the show. Why would writers change anything??

As she said, writers write script that will bring them the ratings they need for the week. The only way to bring about change in content is to stop watching. If ratings fall, script will change.

Mili, I cannot see a comparison between Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Ekta!!😆 The first two are terrific minds that have created revolutionary products that changed the world, products that are subjected to regulations and trade laws. Ekta is a grande dame of Indian tv that doesn't hold entertainment industry to high standards. And it's the viewers that have made her arrogant by supporting her third rate content. Buyer beware - that's the policy for any consumer. It's up to us to consume or reject any products in any industry.

Mark Zuckerberg apologized because Facebook got caught in the Russian investigation. He had to apologize and answer to US congress because millions of his customers lost their info to hackers.

Ekta did not make any mistake and she doesn't have to be blamed either. She's not running a public service organization to better others. Why can't viewers use their own discretion and reject crap? That's a simpler solution.

Ekta's arrogance knows no limits. She has already been taught a lesson in the film arena. I find most writers and producers quite arrogant when it comes to their story line/ships etc. I don't know how many of you watch shows like the vampire diaries in the West but that creator too never relented to fans and eventually show shut shop.

I don't agree with fans bullying writers but when a story clearly has no direction and a large portion of your fans are not happy, you can atleast be humble enough to consider changing it. She always ropes fans in by the first 100-200 episodes with great chemistry of leads and then proceeds to butcher the show.

Don't listen to fans who made your show. Fans don't be blind followers and watch any trash handed to you. In all this mess the only people who truly suffer are the leads. I look at Shabbir's instagram comments which are flooded with negativity- when the poor guy has no control over the storyline clearly. Ekta does not tolerate any interference so fans should stop bullying actors.
