Ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte!!
Who said that ? Because it is wrong, absolutely wrong. And proof is the friendship of Ali and Avni, a man and a woman. This stereotypical thinking was broken by Naamkarann, a show known to have done the same many times on screen.
Ali and Avni's friendship was from their childhood, both as mere children could run errands to keep each other happy and safe. That was the level of comfort they shared in their friendship.
Whenever Avni fell in trouble, Ali was always there to help her out and vice-versa. For a short period of time, he did turn grey thinking what he harboured for her was love. But soon, he realised and then redeemed himself for good. A positive character and an honest friendship Ali shared with Avni brought a revolution in Indian Television. A big shoutout to Gautam Vig and Aditi Rathore for playing these roles.
Ladka aur ladki dost ho sakte hain, bilkul ho sake hain !
And this is another reason why we audience will always cherish Naamkarann.

Beautiful writeup!! I still remember when Ali sacrificed his love for the well-being of his friend instead of becoming a psychopath lover.. Their bond was one of the purest in the show and I'm glad the cvs didn't tarnish that! Naamkarann would be remembered for the beautiful bonds it has shown- Ali Avni, Avni Neela, AvNeil- DD!!
I'm not much of a writer.. I'll put everyone to sleep with my writing.. Hehe! We have such talented writers in the forum, someone of them will write!!Originally posted by: Aphrodite_NV
Thank you so much. I agree with you, the previous writers could have easily turned him negative but they chose not to and I will be grateful to them for this. Why don't you try a write up on any character of the show, if it's fine with you.
