I love the compliments I've been getting. I don't think anyone expected me to be a good host. But I won most of the awards in the first year itself. Which judge do you miss the most? Ismailji (Darbar).. and Himeshji (Reshammiya). Himeshji was a little loud. You can love him or hate him but you can't ignore him. Hasn't your singing taken a backseat now? I have a group of friends who are musically inclined. We are always trying out new tunes. We have about 100 songs in our bank already. I want to cut an album that encompasses all genres. But as far as playback goes, I don't get too many offers to sing. I get more work as an actor. Has Sanjay Leela Bhansali real- ly approached you? It is too premature to talk about this but yes, he has approached me for a film. Aren't you seeing Mouli Dave, last year's contestant on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa? Mouli is just a friend. She is an inch taller than me and I don't like women who are taller than me! Why only Mouli? I'm linked with so many women. I met Meghna Naidu for the first time and the next thing I read is that we're having an affair. Which is the most hideous cos- tume you have worn on the show? As much as I respect him for his talent, Narendra Kumar Ahmed does come up with some hideous stuff. There was this canary yellow jack- et with orange and blue birds. With my French beard, I looked like an idiot! We've heard that you have a plasma TV in your toilet? (Laughs) Not just a plasma TV but also two sofa-cum- beds and a play station too. So you have an open toilet in your living room? (Laughs) When my friends started coming home, they wanted to smoke. The toilet is the place to hang out. Eventually though, the smoke got to me. We've now got an exhaust fan installed and an AC too. Then we realised we need- ed space to lounge-so the sofa-cum-bed came in. To complete the experience I got a plasma TV and a play station for the loo. Kinky! How did your parents react to your designer loo? Hey, I'm only 20. At the end of the day, I'm a good boy. So they have no issues. Do you have a bodyguard? (Sighs) Yes, I do. To ward off the girls? Guys can be pushed away with gaalis. With girls, you have to be more careful. They only back off when they see you have a six feet bodyguard. How did you react to your father being linked with another woman? I was in London then. But my father didn't let the sto- ries affect me in any way. I'll love him as long as he loves my mother and me. Which of your father's songs do you like to sing? Off hand I would say Meri saason mein. You remember that song from Aur Pyar Ho Gaya, don't you?
