HARMONY IN CONTRASTING
Yet again a wonderful episode tonite! Not only does it give you food for thought, it also leaves with a smile as each character debates with their own mind. Agreeing with each one of them at different point of times! Though the episode debates in full glory but for me what stands out is the beauty of How Opposites Attract in each of them. It is better to Debate a Question without settling it than to settle a Question without debating it.
And that is what exactly happened on a normal day at Ishqbaaaz! A topic, Social Media- A Boon or a Bane esp from the couple's point of view was well debated before the Ishqbaaazo's settled down with Love. Every character had their own view point. Nobody right and yet nobody wrong.
Shivaay: Aaj jo tumhara pyar hai. woh toh hamara hai. Aur Hamara pyar ajnabee ke thappe ya approval ka mauhtaj nahi hai.
Anika: Par duniya ka thappa toh pyar ko chaiye hota hai na. Tabhi toh log iti dhoom dhaam se shaddi karte hai.
Rudra: Aur jab log ghar aate hai, toh hum logo ko shaadi ka album bhi dikhate hai
Bhavya: Par ussi shaaadi ki album ko hum public Library mein toh nahi rakhte na.
Gauri: Aapas ke pal toh pyar ka khazana hote hai. uss khazane ko sambhal ke rakha jata hai. duniya ko nahi dikahaya jata, galat hai na.
Om: Kyun galat hai, personal choice ki baat hai, isme sahi ya galat kahan se aa gaya. and why do we judge people who do that (Ok now we are going a bit off track😆)
How the makers take it one level up is the introduction of Dadi in the scene. Till now the characters choose to debate among themsleves, but with a senior member joining them with her mind, the debate goes a notch higher.
Om continues with further question, " Tell me something, isnt it possible that a man uploads on scoial media for himself. Like I uploaded the picture with Gauri since I wanted to tell her that how much I love her and what importance she holds in my life. Coz at one point of time I couldnt give her that importance that she truly deserved."
Shivaay agrees that since he had done it with a right intention he stands correct on his view point but not Anika. Dadi adds on, " dil diya gallan apno se ki jaati hai, bahar walon se nahi." Gauri supports further, " You might have done it for me, but I didnt like it coz I felt those reporters were making fun of me." Giving a point to Bhavya to add on, "Exactly, kabhi kabhi hum khud hi mauka dete hai, logo ko hum pe hasne ka, hamara mazak banane ka."
Leading Bhavya to snatch away the phone with full rights from Rudra since he wasnt showing her the comments that came on Social Media on their picture. With the comments that came by, makes her feel even more sad about the whole debate and she cries.
Making Rudra comfort her with, " I m sorry, please ro mat, tumhe pata hai na tumse kitna pyar karta hun." Making Dadi, reprimand him, "haan toh duniya ko batane ki kya zarurat hai, usse bolo na jisse pyar karte ho. Will you get a reward or a award by doing all this? " A damn nice scene of theirs that becomes a whole as Rudra hugs Bhavya.
Shivaay closes the distance between them with, " This Social Media is a virtual world that has no relation to our real world. Isiliye strangers ke liye apni asal zindagi ko Circus mat banao." And Anika agrees feeling sorry since he looses the contract because of her. But Shivaay is not Anika's Shivaay if he doesnt say the following words,
" Koi bhi deal tumse badhkar nahi hai, Anika." Awww😳 However I would have been more happy if Anika would have given her reasons for posting it. Ofcourse she didnt want to post the video, but a photographs of theirs was fine.
And Dadi concludes the topic for us with her nuska!" Putar, aajkal log doobte suraj ko nahi dekhte, uski photo kheechte hai. Tum log jis lamhe ko kaid karne ke liye mare ja rahe ho na, woh lamha kaid karne ke liye nahi hota, Jeene ki liye hota hai. Ishqbaaazi aankhon se hoti hai, ek baar phone se nazre uthake apni saathi ki aankhon mein dekho, toh pata chalega zindagi kya cheez hai. " Giving us more reasons to love her.👏
I remember we had once said that why cant they have individual scenes of different characters and mesh them together around the topic instead of making them stand in lines and delievering the same lines. And looks like today we have been heard as the award in the episode goes to all the different individual scenes taking us and the narrative to the next debate.
The first scene in this category was of Saahil and Shivaay. We have all waited for this one for a very long time and it doesnt disappoint us. Infact its a brilliant scene and very well executed by both the actors. Shivaay is seen taking care of Sahil in Anika's absence and I couldnt stop aww-ing for the same onscreen. After a lot of protest he is seen giving Sahil medicines to gulp for his leg condition as he has shown improvement with medication, which hopefully will not lead to any operation. Making Sahil feel happy to go back to his boarding School.
But SSO has some other plans since he wants to keep him with them now and with that comes the question of studying closer, in one of the best schools of Mumbai.
He wants him to carry their legacy forward by studying in the same school as theirs, But Anika denies, as she has just had a squabble with one of the hi-fi so called English medium character who thinks very low of a Hindi medium like her.
On the table as the Lunch is laid, Obros are seen trolling Shivaay with Ishqbaaaz bane Mukkebaaaz😆 as they discuss who would be the captain of Super Smashers. Ok so we do have a great IPL match coming up. I really want to see Shivaay in his namesake Jersery😉
But till then we have to do away with Obros Vs Obahus on the table with hushed tones, English Medium Vs Hindi Medium, as Rudra mentions about Okhra rather than our very own Bhindi to Gauri!
Anika's inferiority is ignited once again as she speaks in hushed tones , " Angrezo ne hamara itna khoon nahi piya, jitna angrezi hamara pi rahi hai. " As the normal discussion carries on she realises English has not been a Cup of Tea. The last straw is added by Rudra who further adds on, " Aapka aur English ka relation saas-bahu ki tarah hai, na jami hai na jamegi." And Anika decides to walk away not angry with them but herself.
Gauri realising comes to her side after sometime, leading Anika to speak her heart out. " I studied till 10th and had to further discontinue my due to my responsibilities. I know I lack in english infact we both lack in english. All three brothers are hi-fi, studied in a good school & speak english so fluently. For us, this English Medium is more of a scare ghost than the actual ghosts. At any of time, Shivaay is never made me realise of this shortage in me but I know how much water I m in infact both of us. "👏CVS respect tonight for introducing the topic so flawlessly! But I m not too happy with this scene or probably I was expecting more. It felt like suddenly Gauri realised the same thing as Anika.
Leading her to finally take a decison in the right direction for Sahil ,
" Gauri, main nahi jaanti ki main apni kami poori kar paaungi ya nahi, lekin Sahil ki zindagi mein, main yeh Kami nahi hone doongi."
And off she goes to tell him that she would be up early for Sahil's Interview tommorow as she feels he was right, that they cant compromise for Sahil's education. Making him happy and leaving us gazing at Harmony in contrasts,
