As promised Geet was there to take Inu to his first day out in the big town, she now understood that as it is a pup she needs to be patient with it and careful too. She took him to her home. "Mom, this is the new friend we are taking care of, She said. "It is really cute, Her Mom said. "He is Inu, Geet smiled.
"Inu..., She said puzzled at the choice of name her daughter chose for that little puppy. "Mom, we are going on our first trip today, why don't you come along. It's been long since we last shopped, She said. "Geet...I..you can see my situation dear...I'm wheelchair bound, She said sadly. "Mom please...you are fine even doctors have said that after the physiotherapy it will be better...please try to be happy for me at least, She said. "Alright, let's go, Her Mom agreed reluctantly.
The three of them went to the nearby shops which Maan had enlisted on the map. Geet tried to make her Mom get involved in the shopping and bought a new dress for her. They walked till the park but her Mom finally gave up. "Geet...let's go back, She said. "Why, Mom we have just started and..., She was interrupted by her Mom. "Geet...I'm feeling a little off you know my condition and look around you ...I can't be like them, She said dejected. Geet understood her mom and sat down with her. "Mom...why do you keep thinking that you are different ...why can't we live like we used to be ...why do you have be like this always...if you have given up on your will to walk then no doctor can help you...please stop thinking like this, She said. "But Geet...please.., Her Mom said again and this got her irritated. "Why are you so much pessimistic ...why can't you live like others just because of some stupid accident ...if you don't want to try for yourself then try for me as I'm so done with your I can't do it attitude, She yelled frustrated.
Her loud voice scared Inu and due to this he started backing off. "I'm sorry...let's get you home then, She said. "Inu...let's go home,She said looking around and not finding him she panicked. "Inu...Inu come out let's go home we can play there, She called but she couldn't find him. "Geet, there, Her Mom pointed in a certain direction.
"Inu...Inu come back here, Geet called. "I think it got scared when I yelled at you, She said looking at him feeling scared of her. "Inu..I'm sorry come back please, Geet called. "Geet let's follow him, Her Mom said. They ran after Inu and finally found it . "Inu look out get away, Geet yelled seeing a truck coming in its direction but just before it could crush him he was saved by Maan. "It's okay Inu I'm here, He said. Geet and her Mom went up to him. Inu was instantly back to her seeing her sad. "Oh I see you have bought your Mom too, Maan said noticing her mom. "Hello auntie, I'm Maan, Geet's classmate and the other owner of Inu. We are your neighbors, please do come by at our house sometimes, my Mom will be delighted to meet you, He smiled. Her Mom liked the kind boy in front of her and nodded, "We will try. "But what were you doing here, She asked. "This is where I work, He said pointing to the bookstore and they noticed his work attire. "Wait, I will come with you two my job today is done anyway, He said going in to collect his things. They walked back to their houses chatting all the way.
"Mom, I will be back in a while, I'm going to walk with Inu a little, Geet said. Her Mom nodded and went inside their house. "Geet, don't worry Inu should be fine, you should go and rest too, Maan said. "It is fine Maan, if not for you Inu could have been run over by that truck today, She said sadly.
"My Mom has been unwell for long and she is trying hard to cope up...Dad is on trips and is consulting the best doctors for her...but it seems like she has given up the will to walk. I can understand her but today I lost my cool when she asked to come back home ..and it made Inu scared, She cuddled the puppy who was now fine.
"Geet, we all have those days where it is difficult to control your emotions...It is completely normal so I don't think you should be guilty and whatever happened with Inu was an accident that is all, so just be happy about it. About your Mom ...if anything like that happened even with any of us even you and me it will create a little depression but you can overcome it with patience, He said. Geet was happy hearing him, "Thank you. "It is fine we are friends so don't worry, He smiled. They bid goodbye and returned to their homes.
Next day, Geet was passing down the hallway when she found Pari in a compromising position with a senior student. "Pari, She called shocked and embarrassed to see her. Pari looked at Geet and seeing her turn red came to her side. "Hey Geet, She said. "Isn't that boy our senior and I think he has a girlfriend too so what was he doing with you, She asked. "I know that Geet, She said. "And still you are with him why Pari, She asked. "I love him Geet...though I know he loves another but if I get a little time with him that is fine by me, She said. "But it is wrong ...how can anyone fall for someone who is already having another person by their side, Geet said. "Geet...when you are in love it doesn't matter, She said. "It does...I will never fall for anyone who has a girlfriend, Geet said stubbornly. "Let's see what the future holds, and forget about this let us go and read Inu's blog ...Maan has been updating it, She said diverting the topic knowing her cute little naive friend won't understand the complexities of relations being a simpleton.
