Hhhmmm. I don't find this remotely cute or funny. He shouldn't "need " a thank you if his wishes were sent sincerely. It may be rude for these people to not respond (if they did it on purpose) but it is obnoxious for him to try to publicly shame them for not giving him the attention he craves.
