Kabir is just very reserved, there're such type of men in real life too where women have to initiate romance. He's shy and also being a maulvi who should act by rules makes him a bit rigid, I don't think he'll change much in the futue too.

I think each persn has his own way of expressing love to their partners, Kabir I guess falls in the category of loving his wife by respecting and taking care of her more than openly expressing it by doing "sharaarats". I think Zara loves him the way he is and doesn't wish those things which he's uncomfortable with, he's already too good to expect moe.
