I wish it was Kashmir not Srilanka, it would've been different, Srilanka would have the same feel. I don't think going to different places would in itself boost TRPs, it's the story that counts. Still Srilanka is a better fit if Karan is smuggling the idol.

It'll be interesting if Sukor are travelling to get the idol back or to save Saanvi but I'm not interested if it's a setup by Karan to implicate them in the idol theft.

Ideally Imli should stay back in Azaadganj, how can she get a passport without revealing her ID. Of course if the shooting starts near the end of next week, we may have the idol and kidnapping drama together and Karan would provide her with fake ID.

Mesh the project has just started so I don't know if karan will risk stealing the idol just as yet unless he uses imli to do that and If she gets caught the blame won't go on him.. Keith did Indirectly hint a backstabbing angle in his solo iv. If he steals idol he can ask sukor to come along and like you said it cam be setup to trap them or use them to get the idol sold. I hope it's not the gumrah movie plot.

True the story matters but shooting in a nice place can add freshness and if the plot is executed well they can pick up ratings too. They need to focus on the ratings along with the writing

Maybe they aren't shooting in kashmir bec of security complications

If we get a clue about track, then only can say this is interesting or not.

Lot of illogical things in the writing these days.

New locations and outdoor shoots are good and give different feel to show.

But no guarantee that it improve ratings.

Good gripping story line and characters should feel connected to audience.

Ratings dropped on that one messy week( mumbai trip)from bad camera angles to confusions that week was bad and once it dropped it difficult to pick up.

They need to plan well the story to gain the lost audience back.

The project is just to get to the idol and nothing more and I don't think they'll show a lot of details about the project itself, they'll show Karan convincing Chakor to agree to the old plans and show Chakor convincing the villagers and Suraj, this can be done this week.

It all depends of when they want the real drama to start, if right away then Karan will steal the idol, if not then they'll try to implicate Chakor first.
