Can we stop up and talk a bit about this tragedy love story of Dilip Kumar and Madhubala?

I haven't even watched any of their movies together but damn, I still ship them after whatever! Will always have a great love for them!

Even tho I adore and respect Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu as a couple and hold the same respect for Madhubala and Kishore Kumar, then I can't help myself thinking "what if?". I have read about their relationship so many times and yes, there were flaws and egos, it was a mess but I think one thing is for sure that they loved each other a lot!

I wonder what Madhubala would had been if she wasn't controlled in such a way by her father and didn't suffer from heartbreaks and such an early death. But yet she holds one of the greatest if not the greatest name in the industry. Her life story will always make me sad.

Dilip Kumar dated Kamini Kaushal before Madhubala.. then dated Madhubala.. & after that dated Vyjayantimala.

& i'm only talking about his love interests of the 50s alone. I'm sure Madhubala was just another pretty girl for Dilip. He was quite the player in those days. 😆

If we wanna talk about 'Amar Prem'.. then love stories of Asha Parekh-Nasir Hussain, Suraiyya-Dev Anand are more iconic for me. As after their breakups.. both Asha & Suraiyya remained single & never married. 😳

I don't think Dilip loved Madhubala and If he did, it was just for a while in all likehood. He was a player from what I have read of him. He didn't deserve Madhubala. Felt so bad for Madhubala for loving such a man and also having such a tragic life. I hope she gets a good life in her next birth if there's such thing.

Few years back I searched her life and also few other legendary actresses like Nargis, Meena, etc and specifically Madhubala and felt so bad reading their tragic lives :(

I am so glad today actresses have much better.

These people had such colorful lives even back in the day. I think the new era is a lot cleaner compared to the scandals back then. I don't think anything like Dharmendra and Hema or Salim Khan and Helen would happen today.
