CONFIRMED! Mouni Roy to star in Ekta Kapoor's Mehrunissa

Mouni Roy will be starring in Ekta Kapoor's web series, Mehrunissa which will be helmed by Ken Ghosh

Popular actress Mouni Roy is going for the kill. Just after returning from the shoot of her second Bollywood film fom Bulgaria, the actress is all set to get busy with the shoot of her next. However, it is not the second schedule of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, Brahmastra. Mouni will be seen in Ekta Kapoors upcoming web series, Mehrunissa. Yesterday, we had told you how Mouni had shared a picture on her Insta story, which seemed like a page from the series' script. And today, we have a confirmation that the actress will be starring in the series, which will be helmed by Ken Ghosh.

The Naagin actress, who is currently juggling between Akshay Kumar-starrer Gold and sci-fi flick, Brahmastra, will be seen in a web series based on the life of the Mughal Queen, who was married to Emperor Jahangir. Rumour mills are abuzz that the show will feature either Rithvik Dhanjani, Mohit Raina or Arjun Bijlani as the male lead. With this, Mouni will be making her web debut. She is an avid reader, who loves history, and seeing her play the politically-aware Mughal queen will surely be a delight. After she went missing from the Naagin franchise, fans were left heartbroken. But with so much on her platter, fans have hopes to see the star on all mediums of entertainment. Mouni became a household name after her stint in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. The gorgeous beauty soon impressed with her fabulous performance in the hit supernatural series, Naagin and Naagin 2. The actress will be also seen in the upcoming movie, Gold. Mouni never fails to impress us with her unusual choices and with Mehrunissa, the actress is going to stun everyone.
