Ishita was sitting in her room and thinking -kitna kuch badal gaya inn kuch mahino mein. Kuch din pehle bhi humne vrat rakha tha but bina mann se, bas majburi mein, Ek aisa insaan ke liye jisse pyaar karna toh dur, humne dekha tak nahi tha. Aur jab dekha toh dheere dheere saare sapne hi tut gaye. Jinhe apna sab kuch maan lene ki galti ki, he snatched everything from me. Achcha hua hum uss narak ko chod kar bhaag gaye aur hume itna achcha parivaar aur raman mil gaye. Hope hume kabhi yahan se jaana naa pade, durga maiya kuch aisa kar dijiye ki raman hi hamare var(husband) ho jaaye,hum puri shradha se vrat rakhenge, Raman ko paane ke liye.she thought and smiled fully.
On the other hand, Raman was also thinking same.
Raman -matarani, aap jaanti hai Maine kabhi koi vrat nahi rakha but still I am keeping this fast just to make ishita mine, please meri yeh mannat puri kar dijiyega, mujhe aur kuch nahi chahiye aap se. He prayed to god and start doing preparation for next day.
Soon the day passed and it was early morning.
Toshiji was sitting and having her sargi when she saw ishita coming out of her room.
Toshiji -arey puttar, tu abhi kyun uth gayi.
Ishita -bahut achchi smell aa rahi thi toh hamari neend tut gayi. Hum bhi kha sakte hai aapke saath.
Toshiji -haan, bilkul. She said and served ishita too.
Ishita look at toshiji and thought -abhi toh aap hume aise hi khila rahi hai aunty ji, but hum chahte hai ki bahut jald Aap hume apni bahu ko roop mein yeh sargi de. She thought and start eating.
Both were eating when they heard sound of door opening and saw raman coming out too.
Toshiji -ab tu kyun aa gaya??
Raman -kya, I am also feeling hungry.mujhe bhi khana hai.kyun mujhe khane ka haq He said and came to his mother. Toshiji served him too and trio start eating.
Ishra were eating slowly looking glances of each other when Toshiji said -bas mera ho gaya, ujala hone wala hai, ab nahi khaungi. Listeing to this Ishra too stopped eating.
Toshiji was taking the plates when Raman said -u leave this maa, I will do it. Aap jaa kar rest karo. Aapka vrat hai naa.
Toshiji -arey nahi puttar, I am OK.
Ishita -jaiye naa aunty, we will do this. She said and Toshiji went to her room while Ishra went to kitchen. Raman was washing dishes when ishita took it from him and start doing it.
Raman -let me do it, u go and rest.
Ishita -nahi, hum kar lenge. Aap jaiye.
Raman -ok let's do it together. He said and both started washing and arranging the dish. Soon their work completed and they went back to sleep.
After an hour, toshiji come to kitchen and made breakfast for Mr bhalla and Ishra.
Soon all were on dining table, Mr bhalla was eating while ishra was thinking how to avoid eating.
Mr bhalla saw them and asked -why u people r not eating??
Ishita -ji woh hum subah khaye the naa,hume bhookh nahi hai.
Raman -mujhe bhi maa.
Mr bhalla -what is this, toshiji ne vrat rakha hai still she made breakfast for all, tum logon se khaya nahi jaa raha hai.
Ishita -sorry aunty, but sachchi bhookh nahi hai warna hum kha lete, hum kabhi khaane ko mana karte hai kya.
Toshiji-let it be bhalla ji. Nahi mann hoga.
Mr bhalla -ok as u say, but lunch ab aap nahi banayengi, yeh dono banayenge.inki yahin punishment hai. Aap apne vrat ki preparations kijiye. He said to which all nodded.
Soon all went for their work while Toshiji start applying mehendi in her hand but wasn't able to when ishita said -hum lagaa de??
Toshiji -u know this??
Ishita nodded and Toshiji nodded saying OK. Ishita sit down next to toshiji and start applying mehendi. It took her an hour but she applied very beautiful mehendi in toshiji's hand. Toshiji praised ishita and told her to apply mehendi on her hand too.
Ishita -main khana banane ke baad lagaa lungi. Aap jaa kar rest kijiye.she said to which toshiji rested.
Soon it was afternoon, ishita made food for Mr bhalla and raman. She served food for Mr bhalla and he went after having food. Ishita start waiting for Raman to serve him food but he was taking forever to come, so she called him for lunch but he denied saying he is busy and will have something in office only. He told ishita to have food and hung the call.
Ishita -khana kha lena, ab inko kaun bataye that I can't eat as I am fasting for him. Haan raman, I am fasting to get u as my hubby. Kitni mehnat kar rahe hai hum aapko paane ke liye, aur aapko khabar hi nahi. She said to herself and smiled.
She did all her work and went to apply mehendi on her hand. She applied mehendi beautifully in her hand and even wrote Raman's name. She smiled seeing his name in her name and said -kitna achcha lagta hai raman ka naam hamare haath mein. Kaash issi tarah unka naam hamari kismat mein bhi likha jaata.durga maiya please hamari yeh wish puri kar dijiye, hum aapse aur kuch nahi maangenge.
Soon it was evening, Raman wrapped his work and was going home when his eyes fell on a blue net saree, he liked it instantly and thought to gift the Saree to ishita .he went and buy the Saree,and then was going home when he saw a woman selling flower strings. He picked that too for ishita and went home.
On the other hand, ishita was looking at her clothes and was thinking what to wear. She has only jeans and tees, no ethnic dress.
Ishita -mahal mein kitne dresses the hamare paas but yahan I don't have anything to wear. Kya pehne, kya pehan kar puja karenge. She was thinking when Raman come to her room and said -ishita.
Ishita turn and saw him standing infront of her.
Ishita -ji.
Raman -tumhare liye saree laaya hoon. I dont know tumhe pasand aayegi yaa nahi but agar pasand aaye toh aaj yeh pehan lena, mujhe achcha lagega.he said forwarding the box.
Ishita took it happily and said -hum jarur pehanenge.
Raman -ok, toh ready ho jao.
Ishita -aap bhi ready ho jaiye. She said and both went to get ready.
Ishita opened the box and smiled seeing the beautiful saree.she saw the blouse and petticoat and found it little loose, she did a quick stitching and get ready wearing it. She was admiring herself when she heard him saying, bahut sundar lag rahi ho tum.
Ishita turned and saw raman was ready wearing a maroon sherwani and was looking at very handsome.
Ishita -aap bhi bahut handsome lag rahe hai.
Raman -i brought something for u. He said and showed her the gajra. Ishita smiled and turn. He made her wear the gajra and said -ab aur bhi achchi lag rahi ho. Let's go.
Ishita hold his hand and both went to his parent. Toshiji saw them together and prayed for their togetherness while ishra touched their feet and took their blessings.
Soon toshiji start doing the puja while ishra were just standing on the either corners listening the puja, both were praying for their togetherness oblivious of the other's thoughts.
Soon the puja ended and all took blessings from the almighty then they start waiting for the moon.
Soon moon too showed up and all went to terrace. Toshiji start doing puja while ishita was keenly observing as she too want to do all this,all these rituals were new for her and she was much fascinated by them.
Toshiji did the moon's puja and then saw Mr bhalla through the sieve.then she did his aarti and put the thaali and sieve on the table. Ishita picked up the thaali and quickly did aarti of moon and Raman before anyone can notice it. Then she took the sieve in her hand and see moon through it followed by raman. She looked at Raman and prayed for his long life and success. Then toshiji put tika on Mr bhalla's forehead and touched his feet. Mr bhalla make her drink water and have sweet.
Ishita thought to do all this, so she was just waiting for right time. Mr and Mrs bhalla's puja got completed and they were going down taking the aarti thaal when ishita said -aap jaiye hum le kar aate hai.
They nodded and went downstairs. Ishita walked to raman and said -hum aapko tika lagaa de, Aap aur achche lagenge.
Like Raman got what he was wishing for. He nodded happily and ishita put tika on his forehead,then she pushed the agarbati stand and it fell on the floor. She bend to pick it and touched Raman's feet. Ishita got happy as all rituals was over only drinking water from him was left.
She thought for a minute and then hold her head and said -ahh raman, mera sir.
Raman hold her and she start closing her eyes. He took the water and sprinkled on her face and then made her drink. Then he even feed her sweet and she closed her eyes happily as her fast has completed. She stand and said -thank u Raman, hume pata achanak kya ho gaya tha.
Raman -its OK, waise mujhe lagaa jaise tumne bhi fast rakha hai.
Ishita-hum kyun rakhenge, chaliye neeche.
Raman -mujhe bhi pyaas lagi hai, tum bhi mujhe peelao just the way I did. He said and ishita happiky did it. She made him drunk water and then fed him sweet too.
Raman was happy that his fast goes well. Both look at the moon and prayed for their togetherness and then going back when ishita turn to him. He look at her with questioning eyes when she came closer and hugged him tight. He at first got startled by her action but then hugged her back. Both didn't said anything but was just standing hugging each other tight.
