Finally! Shahid Kapoor will be receiving the sweet fruit of his hard-work.
The actor is soon going to be bestowed with the Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence award for the "Best Leading Actor, for his outstanding and memorable performance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film "Padmaavat".
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on 21st April 2018 at St. Andrews Auditorium (Bandra) in association with Smile Foundation will be attended by producers, directors, actors, writers, technicians, craftsmen, distributors and exhibitors among others from the film fraternity.
Shahid had played the role of 'Raja Maharawal Ratan Singh' in SLB's magnum opus "Padmaavat". The film also starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.

On work front, the actor is preparing for his forthcoming film "Batti Gul Meter Chalu" where he will be seen alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
