Change #BetiBachao To 'Beti Hum Hi Se Bachao': Richa Chadda

In a fell tweet, Richa Chadha asked the Indian government to change the name of its Beti Bachao campaign to that of Beti Hum Hi Se Bachao after the Uttar Pradesh government decided to withdraw a seven-year-old rape and abduction lawsuit lodged against former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand, booked for allegedly raping a girl in his ashram. Swami Chinmayanand is a three-time BJP MP and served as the Union Home Minister under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.

Richa, in her tweet, also made a reference to the Unnao rape case in which a BJP MLA was accused of raping a minor a year ago. The victim and her father attempted suicide on Saturday morning outside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence, protesting against inaction by police against the BJP MLA, who allegedly raped her a year ago.

Along with her tweet, Richa also posted a news clip of the aforementioned cases and asked the government to end this "hypocrisy" as she concluded that it doesn't "view women as goddesses."

This NEWS is now on BBC, Fox and CBC radio too including siriusxm. Whoever manages BJP PR division needs to be fired. They could have showed some compassion and dealt with the issue right there and then but their silence, ignorance, counter claims and sometimes vehement support of such scum bags has led to this debacle. Blaming Rahul Gandhi, or Pakistan or this and that is not going to help them. The buck stops with Modi and his silence isn't looking good. But then again maybe I am expecting too much from a man, who doesn't know the loss of a loved one when he doesn't have any family.
