here with my next OS for this osthon, the song for which was suggested by artimishra aka arti, and let me wish you all a very happy baisakhi

here we go with the OS

LONGING TO BELONG

He opened his eyes slowly only to find himself lying all naked in bed. His eyes fell on his other side and he was shocked to his wits realizing he had been sleeping with her, ishita... his colleague. He ruffled his hair in frustration trying to recall what had actually happened last night and how the hell he ended up in bed with ishita but couldn't actually recall much. He looked at her; she was sleeping peacefully holding his hand looking beautiful as ever. He leaned a little closer to her, guilt written all over his face as his fingers brushed her arm and tucked away that loose strand of hair disturbing her sound sleep. His fingers longed on her face little more than required and realizing his actions, he quickly withdrew his fingers from her. He again tried to recall what had happened last night and how he had ended up with ishita when this was actually planned for him and shagun and banged his fist in the bed failing to recall anything. Her sleep broke feeling continuous movements beside herself and with her eyes still closed; she just stretched her arms a little.

She could still feel his hands roaming all over her and the mere thought of the same gave her goose bumps and butterflies all over again. The last night was the most beautiful night of her life, she never knew he would give her this feel of being loved and loved insanely one day. This was actually a dream coming true for her as he had never reciprocated her feelings even when she had been chasing him for a year now. Smiling to herself in sleep, she opened her eyes slowly and tried to move closer to him. He was sitting on the bed holding his head with his back facing her so till now she didn't knew who it actually was.

Crawling to him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissing the nape of his neck, whispered in a sleepy tone

"good morning baby"

She rested her chin on his shoulder hugging him tightly and he could clearly feel the rounds of her front on his back. He closed his eyes tightly realizing it was time to break her illusion now and removing her hands from around his neck, he turned to her leaving her shocked to wits.

She hurriedly tried to cover herself while he just looked away guiltily. How come he was here in her room when abhimanyu was supposed to be here, she couldn't help think to herself.

R -look ishita, I don't know how I ended up here in this room and how we just, I don't remember what exactly happened last night. I had planned a romantic evening for me and shagun but I don't know...

He was saying slowly hoping she would understand him but she just screamed loudly.

I -how can you say that you don't remember anything. Why are you even here, abhimanyu was supposed to be here. I had planned to spend time with him then what are you doing here?

She asked holding her throbbing head as she just realized what just happened while a guilty raman chose not to speak any further as he quickly got dressed and walked out of the room deeply embarrassed leaving a crying ishita behind.

Ishita kept crying for long and finally moved out of the room walking aimlessly in the hotel. Ishra and shagmani worked in the same firm, the four were good friends and ishra were in love with abhi and shagun respectively. Raman and shagun were a couple while ishita had been chasing abhi since long but he never gave her a damn. The last night was their company's annual party and so raman had planned to spend some lone time with shagun in the hotel room. They were having many fights recently and he had thought that they can make up having a talk and spending some time together. The last thing bother remembered was having a few drinks in the party.

He reached office thinking to ask shagun about the happenings of the last night but was shocked to hear their conversation. Both were sitting in the other's embrace laughing and talking over how they spiked ishra drinks and dragged them to a hotel room. Leaving ishra in bed together, they walked to another room to enjoy the night which would give shagun a reason to break up with raman as she was really bored of him now and abhi to shrug off ishita from himself who was just not leaving him in peace.

Raman was shocked and was about to leave when he saw ishita too standing there. Tears rolling down her eyes indicating she had overheard everything. She entered the cabin fiercely and slapped shagmani hard lashing out at them for playing such dirty game with them and just ran out of there while raman too followed her.

He tried to talk to ishita but she just told him that she doesn't wants to see or talk to him anymore and soon she resigned from her job as well as left the city.

A few years later

He walked over to his balcony sipping his coffee and recalled her once again; he had been looking for her since that morning, first he wanted to apologize to her for all that happened between them that night in the hotel room but soon his empathy for her turned something more, he realized he was in love with her and was looking for her but never got a single trace of hers. He got ready for work and began roaming on the busy streets of New York aimlessly.

She got ready for work like everyday with that dull look on her face. Her life had changed drastically post that morning. She had refused to talk to raman, she was hurt and broken getting that betrayal from the man she had loved to death and had just walked out of the city forever wanting nothing but some peace in her life. She had walked away from that city and raman but his memories never left her, the distance from him made her realize how much important he was for her. Those countless times when he had helped her and supported her like a true friend again flashed before her eyes and she just sighed. She had just walked away from him without even giving him a chance to talk to her and as much as she knew him, she could tell that he still must be guilty about all that happened between them. She thought to herself and sighed walking slowly along the streets of the New York city with his thoughts filled in her mind.

Both were walking slowly lost in their own thoughts and didn't realize when they bumped into someone. She was about to loose her balance and fall but he held her in the nick of time saving her from the fall. Her hands got locked around his neck in reflex while he held her securely by her waist. Both looked at the other and their eyes got locked together. Their eyelock got broken after a while and he helped her stand straight. Both looked at the other, he tried to hug her but got scared of his reaction while she was left disappointed as she saw him withdrawing his arms and forwarding his hand for a handshake. Shaking hands with him, she asked him how he is here and both began walking together talking to the other with constant smiles on their faces.

She reached her destination and bidding a bye to him, was about to go inside when he called her stopping her. Mustering up courage, he walked to her while she stood still seeing him coming towards her as he finally put his arms around her, hugging her tightly before he whispered to her

"marry me ishita, I had been thinking of you and you only since that night, I just can't keep my mind off you nor can I stay away from you anymore, marry me ishita... marry me"

He said breaking the hug as he looked at her waiting for her answer. Tears rolled down her eyes as she just realized he too was on the same page as her, that night had surely changed something between them and she too wasn't left untouched with the after effects of that night. Nodding her head seeing him still waiting for an answer, she hugged him, finally their longing of belonging to the other was fulfilled.
