Chapter 27

om and rudy were soon back and were taken aback by the condition of the house. It no longer looked like it did before they left to bring in some food. It looked more like how a home should look instead of a bachelor pad.. Everything was organised; no traces of dust were seen...

They call out for gauri and bhavya respectively...

rudy : bhabhi!! kahaan ho aap? jaldi aao...dekho yeh O mujse kitna kaam karwaate hain.. ( Bhabhi where are you? come out quickly. Look how much does O make me work)

Gauri and bhavya come out and ruder starts complaining about O to gauri while telling bhavya

Rudy: bhavya yaar paani le aao na. Bahut garmi thi bahar. ( Bhavya please get me some water. It was very hot outside)

Om:(smaking rudy's head)oye... dramebaaaz!!!! Zyada naatak mat karo. Jaao jaake khud paani lo aur apni bhabhi ke saath meri buraayi baad main karna... ( Don't pretend too much. Go and fetch yourself some water and later your bhabhi and you can bitch as much as you guys want about me)

Gauri: (defending her devar) omkaraji !! kya aap bhi. hum aanpik koi burayi nhn kar rahe. dekhiye na rudy bhaiya ko kitna paseena aa raha hai. Bechaare thake hue hain aur aap hain ki ( Omkaraji. what is it with you? rudra and i were not bathing about you. And just look at how rudra is sweating. He is so tired and you are just ...)

Bhavya brings him and om a glass of water which they gulp down with rudra complaining garam paani kyun laayi bhavya...( why did you bring room temp water)

Gauri: rudy bhaiya fridge main paani rakha hua hai abhi tak thanda nhn hua hai... isislye abhi issi se kaam chala lijiye. ( Rudra we have kept water in the fridge but it isn't cold yet. So please settle down yourself with this for sometime)

chaliye ab aap dono jaldi se fresh ho jaaiye...Hum aur bhavya khaana lagaate hain... ( Ok now omkaraji and you go and freshen up while bhavya and i arrange the table..)

omkara and rudra leave nodding and come back after freshening up... Soon all of them settle down on the table and start eating...

While eating,

Om: Rudra aaj he tum garmi se thak gye ho abhi toh garmi shuru hui hai?? Abhi toh tumne koi responsibility le he nhn...Thoda bardasht karo aur responsible bano..samjhe na? ( Rudra you have started complaining about the weather already when it isn't even that hot and you haven't worked much. Just learn to bear it and be a little responsible okay??)

aur agar tum itna jaldi thak jaaoge toh shaadi ke baad kya karoge?? ( and rudra how will you manage after wedding if you get tired this quickly??)

Gauri: Omkaraji waise hum soch rahe the ki ab hum inh zara dino tak aise nhn chod sakte and looks smirking towards bhavya... ( Omkaraji i was thinking that we can't leave these two alone like this for a very long time now)

Om: ( understanding) hha...gauri tum sahi keh rahi ho. MUjhe bhi lagta hai ki kuch sochna padega ( yes gauri; You are right! Even I feel that we would have to think about them soon)

Rudra: sochna kya hai O...shaadi karwa do ( What is there to think O...Get us married) and bites his tongue

Bhavya blushes

Om: ahaan!! kisiko bahut jaldi hai shaadi ki. Waise main bhi tumhe Kawara Dekh ke pakk choka hoon...Issiliye shaadi karwani he sahi rahega tumahre liye. Aakhir tumhe bhi toh shaadi ki zindagi ke baare main pta lage. ( Ahaan!! Looks like somebody is desperate to get married. Anyhow I am very tired of seeing you live your bachelor life so might as well have some fun getting you married. Even you should know how it is to be married)

Gauri: ( angry) kya??? Matlab kya hai aapka?? Zara hume bhi toh btaayiye ki kaisa feel hota hai shaadi ke baad. Aap toh aise baat kar rahe hain jaise ki humne aapko torture kiya hota hai and she leaves to her room ( What?? What do you mean by that?? Let me also know how you feel after being married? You are talking as If I have been torturing you ever since we have been married)

Omkara: gauri... and sighs

Rudy: O...mazaak mehenga pad gya lagta hai... ab aap humari shaadi chodke apni shaadi ko bachaane ki planning karo ( O...look like you will pay heavily for having fun. You should think about saving your marriage rather than plan bhavya and my wedding at the moment)

Om: ( nodding) haan rudra...lagta hai mujhe he ek jhaap main sata degi aaj yeh...( yes rudra. I am feeling like she will slap me to the wall today)

Bhavya: ( calming him down) aap chinta mat kijiye omkara bhaiya...Bahut pyaar karti hain bhabhi aapse. Fat se maaf kar dengi. Bas aap jaake sorry bol dijiye aur kahiye ki aap aisa mazaak kabhi nhn karenge ( Don't worry bro. She loves you a lot. Just go and apologize to her and assure her that you will never joke like this)

Omkara: kabhi nhn karunga bhavya...Gauri ka gussa handle nhn kar sakta main... Chalo guys main jaata hoon apni chirraiya ko manaane...Tum dono khaana khaao tab tak ( Never ever again... I can't handle an angry gauri. Ok guys! I will take your leave but you guys finish off your food) and gets up

Rudy: ( shouts) O...

Om: haan kya hua rudra?? ( yes what happened rudra?)

Rudra: all the best...apna kyal rakhna ha... ( take care)

Om: Thank you yaar...I needed it badly

Saying this he moves to convince his chirayya...

Meanwhile at OM

pinki:s ab...aao...khana lag gya hai... ( come...the food is served)

**silence*

Pinki: yeh sab kahan gye... yaha maine khana lagvaya hai aur yeh sab... haa...mummy ji... ( where is everyone?? I have arranged the dinner but nobody can be seen. )

Dadi: haa...kya hua pinki? ( yes what happened pinki?).

Pinki : mummy ji khana lag gya hai...aake khaa lijiye...mujhe bhi badi bhook lag rahi hai... ( mom the food is ready; come and eat. I am so hungry)

Dadi: pinki..tum khalo..mujhe bhook nahi hai... (saying this she left) ( Pinki you eat; I am not hungry)

Here pinki leaves to call shivika...

Pinki: shivaay...annika...khana lag gya hai bacho...aao khana khate hai... ( Shivay..anika; the food is ready. Come soon and have it.)

Shivay: mom...hame man nahi hai... ( Mom we don't feel like having it)

Pinki: ( thinking) Kya hogya hai sabko??... huh?? Ek taraf Omru apni marzi se ghar chodke chale gye... aur doosri taraf tum log yahan pagalon ki tarah bhooke ho tabse ... kya zaroorat hai yeh sab ki?? Kyun kar rahe ho tum aise shivay?? Wo apni marzi se gye hain. Chodo unhe. Waapis aajayenge jab unhe pta lagega ki paisa kamaana kitna mushkil hai...Jab kuch nhn kar paayenge apni mehnat se... ( What has happned to everyone? On one side omru have left the house and here you are sitting here without eating. What is the need for all this shivay? Why are you doing this? They both have left on their own will; leave them alone. They will come back when they will realize that it's not easy to earn money; when they won't be able to stand up on their feet...they will come back..)

Shivay: ( shouts) bass mom bas!! Bolne se pehle soch lijiye ki jinke baare main aap bol rahi hai wo mere bhai; mere omru hain. Aur mujhe yeh bilkul bardaasht nhn ki koi mere bhaiyon ke khilaaf kuch bhi bole...Koi bhi mom ( Enough mom!! Enough. Just think before you speak; the ones who you are speaking against are my brothers; my omru. And I would not tolerate anybody talking against them; I won't tolerate anybody)

Annika: ( holding him back) shivaay...please...

Pinki fumes and leaves from there...

Anika: shivay aap kya kar rahe the?? Abhi pinki auntiji ko shak ho jaata toh sab kuch bigad jaata shivay what were you doing? This attitude of yours could have raised a suspicion in her mind...Our plan could have flopped shivay)

Shivay feels guilty of ruining everything...

Omru's place in Delhi

Om's room

Om enters and sees gauri standing leaning against the window facing the river... He quietly closes the door and tipitoes towards his chirraiya...

Snaking his hands around her waist he holds her in his embrace and bending down whispers in her ears: I am sorry gauri...

Seeing no response he tightens his hold and nibbles on her ear lobe feeling which gauri tries hard to move out of his hold. Seeing some active movement from gauri's side om bends down; dipping his face in the crook of her neck he places a feather light wet kiss making gauri arch her back due to shivers that were sent down her spine feeling the contact between their skins.

Huskily he says: I am sorry gauri mera wo matlab nhn tha. Tumse shaadi karke main bahut khush hoon. Infact mujhe lagta hai ki meri life ka aaj tak ka best decision he tumse shaadi karne ka tha... Ek wo decision ji mujhe kisi waqt main bhoj lagta tha aaj wo mere liye ek sabse haseen aur suhaana sach hai gauri. At this gauri turns around with tears in her eyes. ( I am sorry gauri; I didn't mean it like that. I am very happy being married to you. Infact I think this is the best decision that I have ever taken so far. A decision that I was so angry upon once is now the most beautiful and delightful decision of my life.)

Omkara leaves her waist momentarily and hugs her...Stroking her hair he continues gauri ro mat please. Tumhe pta hai na ki main tumhe rota hua nhn dekh sakta. Feeling wetness on his shirt he pulls her out of the hug and using his two fingers lift up her face... He holds his shirt tightly feeling weak in her knees and gathering some courage she asks him: aap sach main khush hain humare saath? Jo aapne table pe kaha hum uss wajah se nhn pooch rahe. Hum bas jaanna chahte hain ki aap humare saath apni khushi se reh rahe hain na ki kisi majboori ya guilt ke kaaran. ( You are happy with me right? I am not asking this because of what happened outside at the table. I genuinely want to know; I want to know that you are staying with me willingly and not because of some Guilt or pressure)

Omkara loosens his grip and steps away at this and gauri is hurt seeing him. She steps ahead and cupping his face says omkaraji hum bas aapke mooh se sunna chahte hain ek baar ( I just want to hear it from your mouth)

TUM HE MERI ZINDAAGI HO; TUM HE HASRAT AUR TUM HE IBAADAT

TUMAHRE BINA AB ZINDAGI HASEEN NHN LAGTI

AGAR TUM MIL JAO TOH HOJAUN MAIN MUKAMAL.

Gauri has tears in her eyes listening to omkara express what he feels in just a few words and thinks...he is indeed a master of words; A master who has the capability of swinging me away with his choice of words...

She hugs him tightly and says I love you too Omkaraji and kisses him on his chest.

Meanwhile at the dining table;

Rudra and bhavya have finished eating and are now just sitting on the sofa cuddling into each other while watching tv. Rudra kisses her cheek and says: sorry bhavya maybe main tumhe abhi wo shaadi na de paaun jo tum deserve karti ho. But I promise bhavya ki main humesha tumhe khush rakhunga ( Sorry bhavya! Maybe I can't give you the wedding you deserve at the moment but I promise to always keep you happy for the rest of our lives)..

Bhavya has tears in her eyes looking at rudra and she says: as long as mujhe mature rudra milega koi problem nhn hai mujhe.. ( I have no problems until I get a mature rudra to live with them)

Rudra pouts cutely and bhavya kisses his pout and hugs him shocking the hell out of him...
