Is Salman getting punished for being a celeb?

It took 20 years to come to this...Surely it was because he is a celeb/influential person! Plus because he is a celeb he was even roaming free on the roads showing the middle finger to all those people he wronged in the manslaughter case! So yeah poor him...if only he wasn't a celeb...he would've been in the jail serving a life sentence by now!

forgive my ignorance if any.bt as much as i know salman has been booked for
hunting endangered species.not for mere hunting.had he been booked for
hunting as a sport then the cruelty charge would not have fetched him 5yrs
imprisonment.i would have argued ppl bites blissfully on kfc.ppl proudly boasts
abt their silk.how many sarees they have etc.ppl flaunts their genuine leather products.
be it belt wallet or bags.ppl uses snake venom for medicinal value.the make up
that ladies uses has animal products in traces as well.lastly the capsules we have
their shells are made of fishe's gelatin so that when we eat them they dissolve
easily.so cruelty to animals is not the main issue.causing further unwanted depletion
to the already extincting species is the main offense.just like olive ridley's tortoises
fetches fishermen immediate arrest n imprisonment same stands for salman.
so cruelty is not the issue.endangering the lives of endangered species which would
otherwise have bred n multiplied naturally is the main issue.so i feel the sentence is
deserving to any offender.

now if we go by the judge he is telling as he is a celebrity he is being strictly punished.
i object here.it means his offense was not of that degree that should have fetched him 5yrs.
here i object.judge himself seems to be distinguishing between an ordinary man n a celebrity
when Law of the Country should be same for everyone.so the decree can be challenged.
